PHUKET: At 5pm yesterday (May 12) Thalang Police were notified of a house fire that had broken out in an New Zealand expat’s home office at the Permsap Villa development in Srisoonthorn, causing an estimated B100,000 in damages.

 

Capt Kraisorn Boonprasop of Thalang Police arrived at the two-story house to fight the blaze along with a firetruck from the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation of Srisoonthorn Municipality and a firetruck from Cherngtalay municipality.

 

“As the fire had broken out in the office on the ground floor, firefighters were able to stop the fire from spreading to the living room in time. It took about 15 minutes to control the fire,” Capt Kraisorn said.

 

“The computer desk, television, air conditioning and all other devices were completely destroyed, they were valued at about B100,000,” he added.
