Report into ex-governor’s alleged role in child sex ring expected this week

BANGHKOK: -- The fact-finding committee assigned to probe former Mae Hong Son Governor Suebsak Iamwichan’s alleged involvement in a forced prostitution ring is expected to complete its investigation and submit a report to the Interior Minister and the Permanent Secretary by May 19, Interior Ministry deputy permanent secretary Prayoon Rattanasenee said on Monday.

Phuket woman tricked out of close to B1mn by con gang

PHUKET:-- Police in Thalang yesterday arrested a 49-year-old man who was part of a four-man gang who conned a woman out of just under B1 million in a gambling trick after pretending to be interested in buying her house.
