Dealing with heat vs humidity in a fan room

If I open the balcony door or a window in my fan room (which is actually a 1 bedroom with living room) all the heat from my slow cooker and computer is allowed to escape and the heat levels out with the outside air. The trouble is that the humidity then creeps back in. With only fans I am in a constant state of moist skin when that balcony door is open.

 

I'd like a way to vent the heat created inside my room without letting in moist air from the outside. Other topics have mentioned that dehumidifiers are essentially the same as A/Cs except they create their own heat, so that sounds like a non-option.

 

Are there any other options short of getting a 20,000 baht A/C?

you could get a 12,000 baht A/C

I suppose you could try an exhaust fan but the only way to be comfortable is AC.

For one room you only need 9000 BTU AND some AC have a humidity only setting so it will only run to remove the humidity.

 

OR Put the slow cooker outside on the balcony shut the door and use a larger fan. Exhaust fan won't work as it simply draws in humid air from outside. 

 

The floor mounted unit you show in your other thread will work to remove humidity.

Unless you are reducing the humidity by some magical means, the humidity in you room would be near enough to that outside in the big wide world, why would it be any less?

You made me do a google search to figure out why but nothing turned up. I think what happens is the room stays insulated from really moist air from after a storm, for example. You are right that during "normal times" there is not much difference though. But it's raining a lot these days
