7.7 Quake Shakes Myanmar, Thailand on Alert for Aftershock
I told you exactly what the difference is. My condo building's assembly area borders neighboring buildings. It would be relatively safe if there's a fire in our building. It wouldn't be safe at all if there's an earthquake, as those neighboring buildings are equally a threat. There are simply no safe open spaces anywhere near my condo building, and the same is true for many buildings in Central Bangkok I'd imagine. -

Inflation Cools, Showing Trump is Right and his Critics were WRONG AGAIN
This is from the article you linked to: "US inflation fell more than expected to 2.8 per cent in February, bolstering the case for the Federal Reserve to cut interest rates amid signs of slowing growth in the world’s largest economy. Wednesday’s annual consumer price index figure was below January’s 3 per cent and the 2.9 per cent expected by economists, according to a Reuters poll." So when inflations drops o.1% more than expected, that's significant. But when it rises 0.1% more than expected, and, what's more, it's the statistic that the Feds prefer, that doesn't count? Doublethink much? -

Earthquake Rescue Efforts Continue After Building Collapse Kills Eight, 100 Missing
Obviously, they're dealing with a literal mountain (30+ stories worth) of concrete and steel rubble out there. And the longer the poor souls trapped there remain trapped, and not freed, the worse their odds get for surviving, assuming any of those unaccounted for might still actually be alive. I wanna say, from past building collapses elsewhere, there have been cases where people actually were alive and rescued like a week later (but that assumed they had managed to somehow survive the original collapse and weren't crushed to death at the outset. Tonight, one rescue team member said in TH on TV that they've only been able to assess, thus far, the top 4 meters of the rubble pile, which appears a whole lot higher/deeper than that. At some point, it's going to become less of a rescue mission and more of a recovery one. -

Earthquake here in lampang about 1.20pm
You know, I really hate being a stickler for detail, however we do not want to confuse readers here. In fact, in Tokyo, the intensity did not reach 6.6. And, in fact, was MUCH LESS than 6.6. There is really no room to quibble here, since the data has been published and checked...in many sources. I would like to direct you to the Wikipedia page which is quite extensive on this subject, and there are other reliable sources, as well.
