There are more Brits here than any other English speakers, so that would stand to reason.

Sources of that information?

Is this really the way English justice system is working?

In 2005 seemed to be unfit for trail, than nothing happens till 2013. 8 years nothing?

He flied to Thailand and just because he had some overstay, Immigration took him and find out that he has been charged so they hand him over to UK’s National Crime Agency and they bring him to trail in 2017.

Good he is found guilty and locked up for 18 years, or will he be after a few years of the hook for good behavior and old age, not fit to stay in Prison or maybe: He have to take care the properties in Thailand so we give him a one way ticket.

Thanks for the brief chronological precis. He's banged up now so relax eh?

I knew before reading beyond the headline that his victim had been a small child. Any woman could have fought this old tub off.

Really?

He raped her first when she was a 7 year old child. Years later he raped the same person again when she was an adult, i.e. a woman

From reading that the victim was raped as a child and again as a married adult by the same man suggests there's a lot of twisted psychology going on here. There's a statistic out there (you can google it) that claims 7 out of 10 rapes are committed by someone known to the victim.

You would have known a bit more if you had bothered to read beyond the headline

The initial offence / rape  was committed in the 80s

Some while ago I would say

I guess when he is released aged 92 women could feel safer (one would hope so!) - even Viagra couldn't harden this paedo and rapist!

He will never reach it-----anyway its not 'women' that should worry it would be young children

He may have hidden in one of those stolen luxury cars that miraculously escape from the UK with outstanding police reports and unpaid loans still-owing. In reality he appears to be just another low-life Brit posing as a business-man here--not that Brits are the only low-lives here, but he is just another.

I don't know why the news paper tries to sensationalize the story with "Missing in Pattaya" when everyone who knew him knows he went Back to the UK.

They could have said 'Sepp Blatter lookalike' which might have thrown the Brit bashers; but this is Thaivisa ?

Note once again the suspicious number of newbies and the sound of 'Riverdance' (clicks!)

"The sound of Riverdance"----has gone over my head evadgib... (& sometimes that's not hard)

But I have noticed a lot of new members that sound a lot like some of the people who took a really principled stand a few months ago and resigned from T.V  "Never to return" --while the rest of us, just installed some non pop up software.

I think..............................Their Baaaaaaack........... :shock1:

And welcome to them..........:coffee1:

Justice !

Absolutely.! Justice. UK justice. What would he have got if he was Thai and he did the same thing? Jail time? Maybe, but how much?, The ability to pay his way out? Bail? The ability to apologise to the family, and pay them off?.

Yes mate, justice that puts Thailand to shame.

Rule Britannia. Britanniia rules the .waves.....etc etc.

The expats who were concerned about him had to go to ThaiVisa and ask them to Google his name

Only his name? How would that help? Apart from one, none of my expat friends know my second name, and no, I am not wanted for any crime in the UK.

All the expats I know or have met who are not from the UK can speak good English.

So I would think it is reasonable to assume that the vast majority of non Brit expats can speak English.

Always good to hear that justice had finally caught up with someone that needs to be locked up .

It does seem a little odd though that he was 'let loose' as  'unfit for trial' in '05 - and then forgotten about - not to mention allowed to travel abroad? :shock1:
