THE FAMILY of the 22-year-old woman who was killed and dismembered, on Friday filed a Bt10 million lawsuit against the five suspects in the crime.

“Completing vocational education, the victim was a breadwinner and was just 22 years old,” Lawyer Noppadon Sidatan said yesterday on behalf of Warisara Klinjui’s family.

Warisara was found dead last month. Evidence suggests that Priyanuch Wangnonchai and four alleged accomplices murdered Warisara and cut her body into pieces.

All the suspects are now in custody.

“I will check what assets these suspects have so that I can ask the court to freeze them. This is a step to ensure that if and when we win the case, we will get the compensation,” Noppadon said. “We will file a bankruptcy lawsuit against them if necessary.”

The compensation lawsuit is in addition to criminal proceedings that the five suspects are now facing.

Noppadon has also helped Warisara’s family sue Prapasri Somsri, an elder sister of Priyanuch, for damages over defamation.

“Prapasri has publicly claimed Warisara was involved in the flesh trade, humiliating her family,” the lawyer said.

The lawsuit against Prapasri also seeks Bt10million compensation.

Apparently not. B10million that's just a sum of the parts.

All in all a sad end for Warisara and I hope the cutters get what they deserve.

I doubt it, her family coined her as the "Bread Winner"  meaning, she is dead now, no more Lao Kao.   Sounds like America, Sue, Sue, Sue for anything and everything.  Another reason why I don't live there anymore.

Sad! It just won´t work. All the money is only on picture. When it comes to compensation and a lawsuite, they always find a way to make them disappear.

The girl has died anyway. The family is trying to get all they can. I don't know their financial situation but the death of the young girl could have put the whole family into trouble, in addition to mourning. I don't think asking money from the murderers does automatically mean they didn't love the girl. I wouldn't judge unless I knew better...

The policeman's family need to get this guy to go after 'Boss' Red Bull.

Extremely sad set of events. The family happy their daughter work as a prostitute, now that she has died in this horrible way they still want a pound of flesh. They also claim the family name has been dishonoured as she worked in the flesh trade.
