Man arrested for having assault rifle in possession

 

Security authorities today arrested a 53-year-old local in Ra Ngae district of Narathiwat after a AK47 assault rifle and a number of ammunition was found in his home.

 

Abdulormeng Lateh, however, denied the gun belongs to him saying a friend left it with him to keep.

 

Security forces searched his home after receiving information that his house was used to store weapon.

 

Initial search produced only 15 rounds of 7.62 mm cartridges, but without the gun.

 

But authorities became suspicious of a well that was built inside his kitchen.
