Six Vietnamese denied entry into Kingdom
By The Nation

SA KAEW: -- Six Vietnamese people including a child were denied an entry visa by Sa Kaew immigration officers on Tuesday morning on suspicion that they might join illegal activities in the Kingdom.

Sa Kaew immigration police chief Colonel Benjapol Rodsawat said each of the Vietnamese had less than Bt500 and they could not establish proof of how they would finance their stay in Thailand.

He said the Vietnamese tried to enter the country as tourists.

They are Nguyen Van Thon, 27, Nguyen Van Son, 52, Ly Xuong, 62, Ly Thi Tuyet Anh, 55, Ly Thi Ngoc Phuong, 61, And Ly Nguyen Catdang, 9.

Benjapol said the Vietnamese could not tell the officials where they would stay in Thailand, only saying they would picked up by other Vietnamese.

Yes, just the venue for taking a nine-year old.

But on general principles I agree with the denial based on lack of funds and unknown Thai address. Looks more like human trafficking.
