BANGKOK: -- A Myanmar national fainted on the platform of the Mo Chit BTS station yesterday and was later pronounced dead at the station after paramedics were unable to save him.

The man, identified as 51-year-old Mow Mee, was traveling from Saladang station with two friends. Unexpectedly, he fainted at Mo Chit near exits 3 and 4.

BTS station staff rushed to the man’s aid and moved him to the on-site infirmary, where they performed CPR. Mow Mee regained consciousness briefly but fainted again and had died by the time the ambulance had arrived, according to Arnat Apapiron, advisor to the BTS Board of Directors.

May he RIP. I will wager the ambulance was stuck in traffic.

perhaps if people would get out of the way of an ambulance this could be prevented.

This is true, and the basis for my comment. It is fortunate that now I often see paramedics on motorcycles.

That's the problem.  Even if you'd like to move for an ambulance in gridlock, where can you go?

The man died on the platform. Description is one of cardiac arrest.  Major blockage of left ventricle, which  brought on v fib and then death. It's called a widow maker  for good reason. Only 5-10% who have one survive.
