I have a spare room in my 2 bed place in Bophut. Its just 5 mins walk from fishermans village just up from the main traffic lights on the road with the lakes.

House is split over 2 floors: 1st floor: 1 bedroom (air con and ensuite) and kitchen.

2nd floor: living room with cable TV and sofa, chair etc and 2nd bedroom (mine). Balcony with table and chairs.

There are 6 bungalows set round a nice pool and the landlord(english) and landlady (thai) live on site. They are really cool and noone on site has ever had any problems. Its always really nice and peaceful.

Its a nice house in a quiet location... would suit someone who likes to chill out but wants to be near to restaurants and bars in bophut but also close enough to bangrak and chaweng.

I am getting a phone line for ADSL put in next week (hopefully) but you can get on Samui Wifi just about.

Any questions send me an email through this site and I'll get back to you as soon as my dodgy internet allows me.

8k a month and 8k deposit. no other bills except elec which was only 400 baht last month.

I have the house until May 07 but if you just want to rent for a month at a time thats fine with me..

Thanks,

Tom

ps i got some pics but cant seem to upload on to here. email me if you want them.

Sorry, dear. I have a 2-bd, 2-bth house with garden in Bangrak for 8,000. Your price is unrealistic to the maxola.

If your place is going for 8k a month, i will snap it up when Im in samui. Seems VERY cheap.

I dont think that the last posts rent was unrealistic compared with the prices that ive paid over the last 3 yrs.

Then again, if you are the average tourist that just comes over a couple times a yr, then 8k is cheap compared to a crap room in chewang, but I do know that I have stayed for a few months in a self contained house a couple of times for 4k.

Just dont be to hard on the previous post. At the end of the day, she asked a price and if no one takes them up on it, then so be it :o

True, Jules, didn't mean to be nasty. Just that I lived on Samui so long, and the prices have multiplied to the nth degree. Short-term is different than long-term, and that price is failry reasonable. But, I know people who have been coming for 10 years plus and always paid 3,000 for the basic hut. Last year, the price tripled.

the price isn't unreasonlable - I pay 16k a month on a 6 month contract and am willing to split 50 /50.

at the end of the day you can pay 200 baht to $1000 a night in samui. it just depends what you want to spend.

jetgorgon even implies that his friends who come every year pay 9k for a ''basic hut'' this gaff is better than a basic hut - swimming pool, seperate kitchen nice gardens etc etc. so is not expensive . trust me i have seen a lot of places and it compares well. There are bargains out there like your place in bangrak appears to be but this place is normal price for current market - thats why all the bungalows here are taken.

anyway the offers still there people - can rent for 1 month only if you like.

Hi, everydaysthesame. I know, Bophut is going crazy for prices. When I said Bt3,000, I meant per month. That's not available now anywhere. I came to Thailand for the tranquilty, jungle, clean beaches. Now, developers cut down all the trees and put in pools because the seawater is dirty, because...too many developments and the sewage goes straight out to the sea. Wait til dry season and there's no water. How many gallons to fill that pool?

Please don't hurt me!

As Mid noted (tx!), Banrak; spelling variation Bangrak.
