Regardless of the past, quite a few of them speak some English, rather few speak any French these days

Nope, not sure it is the same. There are quite a number of countries with a diplomatic mission in Thailand. How many of them are expressing concern about election there?

The French Ambassador didn't express concern.

 

Look, it was the French National Day piss up in Bangkok. Some journalist will have asked him a question and he trots out the standard response. Russia would say the same, Pakistan would say the same, Trinidad and Tobago would say the same. I really think you are making a mountain out of a molehill here...

Well, a word of advice to the French, don't hold your breath. New elections are a pipe dream as the General Premier knows full well that the Thaksin and his minions are just waiting to buy another election. They have the numers for voting, they have the money to buy the necessary votes and once back in power it's deja vu for Thailand. That simply cannot be allowed to happen again.
