PHITSANULOK: -- One person was killed and four others were injured when the van they were travelling in crashed into a roadside tree in Phitsanulok's Muang district early Tuesday morning.

Following a 4.30am report of the accident on Phitsanulok-Nakhon Sawan Road in tambon Tha Thong, police and rescue workers found that two people had been thrown from the Toyota van.

They were taken to hospital.

Rescuers took about 30 minutes to remove three other people from the van, before they were also sent to hospital. One of them died at the hospital.

Police said the van was ferrying Thai traditional musicians of Wat Phothiyan's Jorakhe Thong band from an event in another province.

It is suspected that the van driver fell asleep.

The situation you have on Thailands roads exists because of the approval / lack of action by all stakeholders

Politicians, Government agencies, RTP and the majority of the population, its ALL self serving

This ends in some ending up at the sharp end which is inevitable

There is no penny to drop

old news people die in droves in Thailand  Nobody cares Next story
