Most of his "columns" (he fancies himself a journalist but can barely produce a grammatical sentence) are little more than attempts to spread unsubstantiated rumors and/or please his advertisers. Plus, think about it: someone who claims to write about the ins and outs of "naughty nightlife," but at the same time swears ad nauseum to never have participated in it? That being the case renting in N.Z. is seen over their as not doing well. Rents are sky rocketing as they try to catch up to the over priced house prices. Reading before he really wanted to be near his family in either Auckland or Wellington but the price of a house their is one million + Many of his articles mention the cost of lost earning time as one stays in Thailand too long, maybe he also got caught out that way who knows. But he at least had the balls to make the move back home to N.Z. I did the opposite I left N.Z. 14 years ago and came the other way to Thailand to retire but was smart enough to keep a property back in N.Z.
