Netizens were thrilled with a security guard who clamped a police vehicle parked in a prohibited zone at Udon airport

UDON THANI: -- The guard was pictured clamping the pick-up that had been illegally parked for more than 30 minutes.

 

People online praised him to the skies saying at least someone was following the law!

 

What's more the director of the airport Witsan Phakdeesantisakun backed up the guard saying that this was not the first time the cops had been clamped.

 

Though it was the first time that the guard and been photographed doing his job.

 

Witsan said everyone had to follow the rules and the guard was correctly doing his job.

 

People online clicked like and shared the story in their thousands.

 

Kapook did not report if the fine was actually paid.

At Swampy airport it's a complete laugh to see the cops chasing away the illegal taxi's waiting for passengers.

 

The police uses a very loud horn to chase them off but behind that policetruck there's a huge row of taxi's waiting to stop as soon the truck has left...

That truck will come back within 10 minutes before the whole show starts over again. Taxi's have no fear at all for the airportpolice.

They all drive around in circles and this is going on for years now...

This action is stupid and senseless if the police were on legitimate emergency business in the airport...

 

On the other hand if the cops abused their power and were just dropping off a friend or relative or picking up some brown enveloppes at Duty Free....the truck should have been towed away with a hefty explaination required!!!

Why was the police vehicle parked there, where they responding to a job? If I was attending to a job and came out and found the vehicle clamped that guard would be charged.  What if the police were called to an emergency situation and some numbnut had clamped the vehicle.  You don't touch emergency vehicles as lives depend on them.

This is Thailand; the police would never respond to an emergency.  They just show up, at their leisure, and only if they feel that there might be a payoff or an opportunity to show face.

if it was an emergency, the lights should be flashing on the pick-up. But anyway, emergencies are supposed to respond to the police after having been invited to the station via Facebook a week ago.

Police have reserved parking! If there is emergency they always park at the check points. Not in the middle of the road, until it is required for the job.

sounds pathetic; if they are illegal, then do something a but harsher than toot a horn; if the police Know the problem, then fix it; stiff fine might do the trick

Not in australia I have parked a police vehicle in all number of positions when responding to an incident and I was perfectly right to do so.  I dont drive around looking for a parking spot 100 metres away whilst someone is in urgent need of police assistance just so some lefty nutjob doesnt complain.  If the police were getting lunch that is different and that is why I asked why were they there.
