3 hours enough for connecting flight (International in, Domestic out)

Hi all,

These flights are for Dec 23 so I appreciate a long way off an queues may be sorted / different by then.

Generally speaking, would this be possible:

Arrive in from Ho Chi Min to DMK (International) at 11:10

Depart from DMK to Chumpon (Nok air fly n ferry to Phangan) 14:05

3 hours, if flight arrives on time. This is not one ticket, 2 separate tickets.

Given that we'll have to go through immigration all over again (we'll be landing into BKK the week before), then go through departures again (we'll have checked in online, hand luggage) is this possible? Or should we just bite the bullet and spend a night in Bangkok?
