CONFIRMED: Spotify to launch in Thailand on August 22nd

Great news for music lovers in Thailand.

 

Popular streaming service Spotify is set to officially launch later this month.

 

The world’s largest online streaming service has said it will hold an event in Bangkok on August 22nd where it is expected to announce the launch of its service in Thailand.

 

The official launch of Spotify in Thailand isn’t unexpected.

 

In June it was revealed the company had been advertising online for the position of ‘Music Editor, Thailand’, based at the company’s Asia HQ in Singapore.

 

An ad for the same position for Vietnam was also posted.

 

Spotify is already available in a number of other countries in Southeast Asia including Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines and Hong Kong.

 

Launched in 2008, Spotify lets users streaming music from a computer, smartphone or tablet and has more than 30 million songs to choose from.
