BANGKOK — Brace for some very wet days as heavy rain is expected throughout the realm into next week. Either way, rain.

The capital is in for a drenching that will peak Sunday then continue through Tuesday, with lows of 24C and highs of 36C. Commuters should expect to be stuck in traffic slower than a zombie’s shuffle.

BANGKOK, 17th August 2017 (NNT) - The Meteorological Department has warned Thai nationwide to brace themselves for heavy rains this week and maintain caution when leaving their homes.

In the North of Thailand, strong precipitation can be expected in Chiang Mai, Mae Hong Son, Chiang Rai, Lamphun, Lampang, Phayao, Phrae, Nan, Phetchabun, Phichit, Kamphaeng Phet, and Tak provinces.

As for the northeastern region, heavy rains have been forecast in Nong Bua Lamphu, Udon Thani, Chaiyaphum and Nakhon Ratchasima. The central provinces of Ratchaburi, Kanchanaburi, Uthai Thani, Nakhon Sawan, Chainat, Singburi, Ang Thong and Lop Buri will also experience heavy downpours.

People have been told to prepare for possible flooding especially in low-lying areas. Small fishing boats should remain in port at this time as waves could reach a height of 2-3 meters in the Andaman Sea.

As it seems that time of year is approaching I was wondering if we could have flood thread.

this would be a thread to follow any flooding so that people can prepare.  Not a comment and bich thread.

Asoke and Sukumvit  has 6 inches for example

Let's see if they get it right this time. The more you try, the more chance you have at succeeding. I think they might be right this time. It's been building up.
