Can foreigner without WP mortgage their condos?

If you have a fully paid condo in Thailand, but you don't have a work permit.  Will the bank accept your condo as collateral ?

Just to add to last year's thread posted above - MBK Finance is the only one that may even consider it.  Here's the link - MBK Finance says no WP or PR required.

Believe they have a list of pre-approved buildings and the rates are likely to end up in the 6-8% range.

I guess the question is collateral for what?

Another condo...a house... a personal loan....business start up?

All are different with a different set of risks and all are likely to elicit a different response from the potential lender.
