Good they have done this. Of particular interest is also restricting the weird stuff Toddler formula sold at great expence. Toddlers do not need this and worse it is potentially harmfull by stalling the transition to a proper diet.

Not the main point but the aligned advertising does push for toddlers to be on formulas way past what is needed let alone all the unproven claims of higher IQ and EI, genius intelligence etc. .

My Thai son and his Thai wife (both knowledgeable about this subject) have proved (carefully) that kids want to eat full foods in small quantities from an early age.

They also proved babies can drink from a cup quite early and they also proved toddlers will feed themselves from quite early.

Within 6 months, mother milk was supplemented with small quantities of fresh goats milk / fresh cows milk on a spoon (deliberately not fed with baby bottles and teets).

Mothers milk continued until breasts were dry.

Infant / toddlers formulaes with all this BS advertising on the packs never entered our house.

Baby bottles and teets never used.

Oldest 2 kids  now 12 and 7 and growing up strong and healthy and well balanced and they  look for fresh fruit, carrots, nuts etc., leftover chicken from last night etc., when they want a snack.

And today they still drink lots of fresh goats / cows milk every day and prefer this to Pepsi etc.

And yes it was quite a battle to stop other family members trying to hand feed them and give them frito o lay chips, coke, etc. Son and his wife stood their ground and in front of extended family made sure the boxes, packets, bottles were not opened and quickly moved to another part of the house.
