Basically they is not a breed that will   do both milk and  beef , the predominantly  black and  white  Friesian  and Holstine  Frisian are good for  milk  ,but not so good for beef ,a black and white  bull calf  if it is fed well   will make  a  half decent beef  animal ,it has to be slaughtered   at about 18 months .

Something like  a  Charolais or an Angus, put on a dairy cow  will  produce a good beef animal, again if feed wel ,I have seen some Charolais x  Fresian's  being  milked ,yield not  over  brilliant , on a Thai  diet  12-15 kg of milk a day, also they  have a problem with heat stress .

The Kampangpet/Tark beef breeds which are about 60% Charolais, and 40% Brahman .are good for beef, same breed as the Thai/French beef company in Issan and the one in  Surpanburi , but you try and milk them  very low milk yields , and with the Brahman blood the buggers will kick you hard.
