Possible to refund K-Bank transaction without account number?

Featured Replies

I had money transferred to my K-Bank account, but the person sent it to me twice a week apart.

I informed them, but they just sent me the receipt that shows their number as xxxx-534-23-xxxx or whatever, with half their account number x'd out.

Is there a way to get this money sent back to their account, preferably online without having to go to a branch? I would just need their full account a number, as I know their account name.

Thanks.

You will need their full account number to transfer the funds back to them.

Not sure about K-Bank but with Bangkok Bank I only need to the account number to set up a new payee. After I enter the account number it shows the bank and account name.

Yes, it's getting the full account number is the issue. At the moment I only have xxx.xx.345.34.xxxx (example) that is shown on the receipt they sent when they transferred it.

Will need the full account number. If the people want you to return the money to their acct number then they need to provide you their acct number. Of course this assumes you got the money from them versus their transfer just failing for some reason.
