If your average Thai policeman gets about 15,000 baht a month, and gets offered 500,000 baht to look the other way, it's a no-brainer what's going to happen. If YOU are involved in a hit-and-run, just give us the blighter's number and we'll catch the guy that did it in no time at all . . . that's the whole point of registration numbers, isn't it. As democracy slips away I can see the current administration having to tighten their grip on the people in order to keep law and order......kind of like North Korea, Libya, Myanmar just to name a few.
