  1. That report was published 6 months ago (when things were quite different), but we're still using the present tense. Remember that a lot has changed since then.
  2. Lots of 'factual details' considering he hasn't been to court yet! But I agree with others, in that this scumbag deserves what's coming to him.
  3. A lot of them are conned into buying those stupid Amway filters. That stuff tastes like a granny's minge!
  4. My main concern is the taste of beer, though! ????????????????????????????????
  5. Be careful what you buy from that website. I bought a computer accessory #1 Not in stock, but I can have a credit in my Lazada Wallet that can't be opened or used by foreigners #2 Products came, but were fake I prefer to buy in store
  6. No ED. Just can't be bothered. Normally when 'home alone' there's always that temptation. I'll give it a couple of weeks, and see. Maybe returning to regular beers will help my distraction!
  7. 22 years drinking Thai Heineken. 20 years with wifey.... hang on, maybe THAT's the problem! ????????????
  8. "The older boy was reportedly the motorbike driver, the younger boy was a passenger."
  9. But a 15 year old can legally ride a small bike here in Thailand. I was doing it illegally a lot younger than that 'back in the day.' Whether or not he had a licence, a properly-registered bike, was wearing a helmet and driving within safe limits are all open to speculation. I'm just as likely to 'assume' the pickup driver pulled out in front of him as I am to say he was riding dangerously. We will never know.
  10. We can all make assumptions here.. - pick up driver not looking or having tinted windows - kids riding too fast, maybe without lights on But the sad reality is that this happens all too often and two young lads will never become men. But what's even sadder is that probably no one will learn from this 'news' and change their ways. ????????
  11. I actually caught it on a liveaboard... and tried to dive on my second day of symptoms, but bailed early.
  12. I had Covid from Jan 12 and I was released from hospital about 10 days later. Since my infection I haven't had the urge to 'do what guys do when alone and with wi-fi????' or 'get cosy with the wife', plus today is my second attempt to drink beer and it tastes bad. Could this be the end of two things I held so dear to my heart until recently? If this is permanent, do you guys have any suggestions on how to 'end it all' without making too much mess? ????????
  13. Had my Jazz for 15 years and was shocked when the first one died after just 2 years. I'm used to it now and as others have mentioned, get one at a battery shop, ad make sure you have the radio code BEFORE you change. These batteries are tiny and can't last more than 2-3 years. I turn off the air con before I park, but my wife does 90% of the miles in it and she hasn't grasped this concept yet. We replaced our last battery 2-3 weeks ago. 2,000B is average price.
  14. Of course not, because he's also scared of wheels, buggies, being in confined spaces, people he doesn't know and shops! IG @ lordhenrybkk
  15. Put him in with the Pit Bull from Samut Prakan and whichever one comes out alive gets to be euthanised!
  16. This is also a 'terrier' and as you can see is scared of water! Vicious little thug of a thing, I don't mind saying! ????????????????
  17. You're right. Drivers need to be ready for anything, but the feeling I get is that the rhetoric is putting extra blame on the rider, in light of recent events... and not focussing on the old guy choosing what some would say was a daft place to try crossing a road, especially due to his age and condition.
  18. But it's only a bystander's opinion that the guy was riding at high speed. If the speed limit is 80km/h and the guy's doing 60 km/h, is this riding too fast?
  19. Another problem is that many zebra crossings (like the picture in the first post) have faded paint and/or cars parked on or near them. A proper zebra crossing should have no-parking zones on either side. Plus, around Thailand there are rumble strips, painted roads and signs and flashing lights for a corner that's neither tight nor dangerous. So drivers can easily become desensitized due to warnings followed by nothing.
  20. Yeah because we need another 'pedestrian hit by motorcycle' story! ????????????
  21. The timing of this article maybe suggests that it's another reckless driver causing accidents with innocent pedestrians, but (even though the guy was old) there is a footbridge over a road that appears to have at least two lanes in each direction. I know we should expect the unexpected, but any driver or motorcyclist should not have to expect pedestrians crossing the road under a footbridge. I'm one of the worst in the world for avoiding bridges, and running across, but this seems a bit harsh on the motorcyclist... at least in the timing of the article with so many others blaming the driver.
  22. The Merc driver lost control before impact. You can see the car change its stance. For sure he was driving too fast, even if the lights are green, it's blatantly clear that there's a car in the intersection and the colour of the lights means nothing. She could have stalled or broken down or even died... he was driving too fast and couldn't stop.
  23. Thai prosecutors are NOT concerned... this is just a sham article in an attempt to show that some people in the 'system' care and want justice.
  24. So very sad but most likely causes are - kids unable to control a bike that is overweighted and the rider has little experience - the bike was probably poorly maintained - pickup driver probably going too fast and/or not paying attention and/or his vehicle was overloaded or poorly maintained - inadequate lighting and signals Thailand's roads are lethal, but the locals grow up desensitised to it.
