  2. To my knowledge that info will be recorded by the supplying dealership. Were you the original buyer when new ? If not and its second hand then suggest discussing with local dealership how to resolve.
  3. Seems probably 90% of Thais if not higher manage without one. Most have a covered area outside, even if its just a balcony. Been here 20 yrs never felt the need, but each to their own. ???? An inverter just makes it cheaper to run. Careful how its used as many fabrics dont lkke them and if not used correctly you will shrink or damage fclothes/abric in them.
  4. Topic already on this. CLOSED
  5. Reported off topic posts and responses removed.
  6. There is a PINNED notice in the General forum of THAI HOLIDAYS, they also show what days are Non Alcohol days.
  7. Ive had some occasions when I wished they'd just say NO !
  8. I wouldnt say fake ! If that was accurate he would have been arrested. Unusual possibly. But it was valod and issued by the correct dept/persom. I suggest "dirty" just means it was actually issued outside of province of residence. Knowing that was a "paid for" variance, he seized on the opportunity to do the same. Making it "clean" simply meant all the boxes were ticked and in line with residence office. But of course that is all just speculation as we cannot " know" what the officer concerned was actually stating/meant.
  9. Not so good if the emergency involved your hands/arms ????
  10. Theres a technical answer and a Thai answer, I would say it entirely depends what happens on the day. In this country it seems the person/lofficer on the day determines whats gonna happen not much else. Total inconsistency in attitudes /enforcement and which way the wind blows !
  11. From personal experience, a family drove a car, no licence, got invoved in a minor incident. The car was insured for anyone, the insurance guy came out, the car was later fixed. The Police arrived and took details. At no time was a licence mentioned by anyone. The drivers of both the vehicles had NO LICENCE. Now, lets be clear, I am not advocating this nor am I saying this is standard practice, everything in Thailand is inconsistent. This is my experience only.A licence is a legal requirement to operate a vehicle in Thailand. The licence system and enforcement is a joke. Its cheaper and more convenient to pay a 400bt fine for no licence (example) than take the nonsense test.
  12. Never understood the many properties built that are never even offered for sale but just stand there empty for years ! Money laundering was one thought. There is one moo bahn, has may be 30 or more homes built, and not one is occupied nor offered for sale. Blocks of town houses built, then nothing, just left there. Very odd !
  13. There is nothing consistent in Thailand,The ever shifting sands politically are totally unpredictable as is immigration. Impossible to even hazard a guess as to what will be "required" in 7 years time or how the landscapes will change.
  14. Post edited to remove troll remark.
