Personal opinion, considering your ingesting it, I wouldn't be buying anything from anywhere other than a credible Pharmacy/Hospital/Docotr etc. There is no way I'd be buying from somewhere like an online platform like Lazada, especially one KNOWN to be rife with Chinese counterfeits. From Chatgpt: Common issues with counterfeits in Asia include: No active ingredient (completely ineffective) Too much or too little of the ingredient (potentially dangerous) Contaminants or undeclared substances (some have been found with sedatives or other drugs) To minimize risk: Buy from major pharmacy chains or licensed stores Stick to international brands with third-party testing Avoid "gray market" imports unless you can verify their origin

For most people, 10mg of melatonin is considered too much, especially for regular use. Recommended Melatonin Dosage: Adults: 0.5mg to 3mg is often effective for sleep onset. Occasional use: Up to 5mg is sometimes used short-term. 10mg: Generally only used under medical guidance; may cause grogginess, vivid dreams, or disrupt natural sleep cycles. Why Less Is More: Melatonin is a hormone, not a sedative. Taking too much can backfire, either by making it harder to sleep or causing next-day drowsiness. The body responds best to doses that mimic natural melatonin levels.

Canadian Voters Head to the Polls Amid Rising Tensions with the US

Summary Mark Carney's Liberal Party wins the Canadian election and will form the next government - watch him speak live above But it remains too close to call whether he will secure a majority in parliament, or will have to rely on other parties to govern The Conservatives made major gains but were still defeated, and party leader Pierre Poilievre says "hard lessons" have been learned At the HQs of the two rival parties, there was jubilation among Liberals and tears from Conservatives as they quickly filed out of the venue The projected result completes a stunning turnaround for the Liberal Party, which was languishing in the polls just three months ago before Carney replaced Justin Trudeau as leader and US President Trump upended relations How to respond to Trump was the defining issue of the campaign, and Carney, a former Bank of England governor, capitalised on widespread anger at the US president's trade policy and threats

Thailand has become a popular destination for expats, retirees, and digital nomads seeking a high quality of life at an affordable price. One of the major attractions is its affordable healthcare system, which offers excellent medical services at a fraction of the cost found in Western countries. From routine medical care to complex procedures, Thailand’s healthcare system is a cost-effective solution for expats looking to stay healthy while saving money. Healthcare Costs in Western Countries For expats coming from Western countries, healthcare can be a significant financial burden. Whether it’s high insurance premiums or expensive out-of-pocket expenses, the cost of healthcare in many Western nations is rising. Here are a few examples: High Insurance Premiums: Health insurance premiums in the U.S. are among the highest globally. On average, Americans spend $12,474 per person annually on healthcare, and individual premiums can exceed $400 a month. Out-of-Pocket Expenses: Even with insurance, many Western countries still have high out-of-pocket costs. In the U.S., an appendectomy can cost around $33,000 if you don't have insurance. Long Waiting Times: Public healthcare systems in many Western countries also face long waiting times for non-emergency treatments. The UK’s NHS often has delays of several months for non-urgent procedures. Healthcare Costs in Thailand Thailand has earned a reputation for offering high-quality healthcare at a fraction of the price found in Western countries. For the majority of treatments that expats may need, Thailand is generally cheaper and more accessible. Healthcare in Thailand is much cheaper than in Western countries, with significant savings across various medical services: Surgical Procedures: Cardiac surgeries in Thailand cost between $15,000 and $35,000, compared to $70,000 to $200,000 in the U.S. That’s a saving of up to 80%. Fertility Treatments: In vitro fertilisation (IVF) costs $4,500 to $7,700 in Thailand, while the same treatments in the U.S. can exceed $20,000. Cancer Treatments: Cancer treatments in Thailand range from $2,000 to $130,900, compared to the U.S., where treatments often exceed $100,000. Diagnostic Imaging: An MRI scan costs around $190 in Thailand, while in the U.S., it can average $2,611. General Medical Services: Routine care and dental services in Thailand are typically 50-75% cheaper than in the U.S. or Australia. Thailand is home to many private hospitals that offer world-class care. These hospitals often feature modern equipment, internationally trained doctors, and internationally accredited facilities, ensuring high standards of care. Quality Standards: Many private hospitals in Thailand are internationally accredited, ensuring they meet global healthcare standards. Cost Efficiency: Despite offering top-tier facilities and skilled doctors, private hospitals in Thailand charge much less. For example, a hospital stay costs around $100-$200 per night in Thailand, compared to $1,000-$2,000 per night in the U.S. Minimal Waiting Times: Private hospitals offer fast access to specialists and procedures, unlike the long waiting times often found in public healthcare systems in Western countries. How Expats Can Save on Healthcare in Thailand By opting for treatment procedures in Thailand, expats can enjoy significant savings on healthcare costs when compared to their home countries. Here’s a breakdown of how healthcare savings add up: Surgical Procedures: Cardiac surgeries in Thailand can save expats up to $55,000 compared to the U.S., making it an appealing option for those needing serious medical attention. Diagnostic Imaging: An MRI in Thailand costs around $190, compared to $2,611 in the U.S., saving expats approximately $2,421 per scan. General Healthcare Services: Routine check-ups and dental care cost 50-75% less in Thailand. For example, a dental filling might cost just $20 in Thailand, compared to $100 in the U.S., saving $80 per procedure. How Cigna Health Insurance Helps Expats Save More Cigna Global offers affordable health insurance plans that help expats save on healthcare costs while ensuring they receive reliable care in Thailand. Access to Private Hospitals: Cigna’s plans cover treatments at private hospitals, ensuring high-quality care without the need to pay out-of-pocket for each visit. Global Network: Cigna’s global network provides medical care not only in Thailand but also in other countries, offering peace of mind to expats who travel frequently or return home temporarily. Customisable Plans: Expats can choose from various plan options based on their healthcare needs and budget. Cigna’s flexible coverage options help ensure the right fit for each individual. Thailand offers expats an affordable and high-quality healthcare system, allowing them to save on medical costs while receiving world-class care. With private hospitals, affordable health insurance plans, and lower out-of-pocket expenses, Thailand is an attractive destination for expats seeking a cost-effective healthcare solution. With providers like Cigna offering comprehensive, customisable health insurance plans, expats can enjoy reliable coverage without the high premiums found in Western countries. More recent broader research (outside this specific article) shows that for most healthy people, eating eggs in moderation (like one per day) is unlikely to cause harm, and eggs also provide valuable nutrients. Like most things in life "moderation" not excess.

Thailand, once a top destination for budget-conscious tourists, is facing increasing backlash from international travellers who feel the country is losing its appeal. Nearly 2,000 comments on a recent Bangkok Post Learning social media post show growing dissatisfaction with soaring prices, outdated systems, two-tier pricing, and the pervasive smell of cannabis in tourist areas. An analysis by Krungthep Turakij identified four major complaints. Sticker Shock: Thailand No Longer a Budget Paradise Many travellers say Thailand is no longer a value-for-money destination. Accommodation costs, especially in popular areas, have skyrocketed. "The hotel I paid 2,000 baht for five years ago now wants 6,000 baht," said a visitor to Koh Samui. A European tourist in Pattaya was shocked by a 7,000 baht dinner bill for two, without alcohol. Travellers acknowledge global inflation but argue that Thailand’s price increases are far steeper. "Hotels doubling or tripling their rates isn't normal inflation — it’s pure greed," said one European tourist. Flight prices have also surged. "I used to fly to Thailand for $300. Now it's almost $1,000," an American traveller complained. Even Thai locals are feeling priced out. "As a Thai, I can't even afford holidays here anymore," said one resident. Frustrations at the Border: Visa Woes and Red Tape Tourists also express frustration with Thailand's immigration bureaucracy, particularly the TDAC system requiring online registration three days before arrival. "It's unnecessarily complicated, especially for older travellers," a German visitor noted. Many long-term visitors are disappointed by the reduction of the tourist visa duration from 60 to 30 days, making extended stays less appealing. Cannabis Clouds: A Turn-Off for Families Thailand’s liberal cannabis laws are also turning off some visitors, particularly families. "The smell of cannabis was everywhere we went," said an Australian mother travelling with young children. "It’s not the Thailand I remember," added a British tourist, lamenting the shift in atmosphere. Some feel the cannabis culture is attracting a different type of tourist, altering the country’s traditional charm. Feeling Cheated: Two-Tier Pricing Still an Issue A persistent grievance is the two-tier pricing system that charges foreigners more for attractions and services. "I paid 200 baht to enter a national park; my Thai-looking girlfriend paid 40 baht," a German tourist recounted. Many argue this practice is unfair and discriminatory, further souring their experiences. Looking Elsewhere: Neighbours Offer Better Value Several travellers say neighbouring countries now offer better experiences at lower costs. "I spent three months in Vietnam but only one month in Pattaya. That says it all," one visitor remarked. Vietnam, Cambodia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Sri Lanka were all cited as offering cleaner beaches, better infrastructure, friendlier locals, and more affordable prices. "Boracay in the Philippines has clearer water and cheaper hotels than Koh Samui," said a British tourist. "Malaysia has better infrastructure, amazing food, and fewer tourist scams," another added. Deteriorating Standards and Overcrowded Hotspots Travellers also report declining standards at Thailand’s tourist hotspots. "The beaches are filthy, especially in Phuket," said a Scandinavian visitor, pointing to plastic waste. Pollution, broken pavements, and overcrowded attractions like Pattaya and Hua Hin are frequent complaints. "Beaches that were once serene are now packed with thousands of sun loungers," an Australian visitor noted. Negative encounters with certain tourist groups and recent safety concerns following a building collapse at Chatuchak market have added to the worries. Can Thailand Win Back Its Loyal Fans? Despite the complaints, many tourists still express affection for Thailand but warn that without improvements, the country risks losing its market share. "Thailand is still beautiful, but the rising costs, complicated systems, and declining quality are driving me to explore other places," said a Canadian visitor. A long-time tourist summed it up bluntly: "Thailand isn’t the only option anymore. If it doesn’t change, it will lose out to its neighbours." Adapted from The Nation.

When you're on blood thinners, it's quite common to bruise or develop red spots (called petechiae) more easily, especially on areas like the arms. These spots usually happen because the medication makes your blood less likely to clot, so even minor bumps or pressure can cause tiny blood vessels under the skin to break. Unfortunately, applying cream won't prevent them because it's happening beneath the skin, not on the surface. It's always a good idea to mention this to your doctor — they can check to make sure your dosage is right and rule out anything else that might be causing it. In the meantime, being gentle with your skin and protecting your arms (like wearing long sleeves) can help reduce new spots.
