For clarity, what you call wifi should actually be referred to as cellular data or mobile data. Wifi is the type of connection that is very local such as in a home, office or coffee shop. Please change the topic's title.

Darn it... you caught us all out! It's a total conspiracy involving hundreds of thousands, maybe millions, of left wing extremists. Its unbelievable. The world has never seen a conspiracy like this before. -
The architecture of SWIFT is very similar to the internet. If you want to go from A to B and there is no direct connection then the internet messages are routed using the IP routing protocol. If bankA needs to send to bankB and there is no direct connection (through Nostro/Vostro accounts) then bankA will search amongst the SWIFT members to find a third bank (bankC) which does have a direct connection with both bankA and bankB. bankC then becomes the corresponding bank that bankA sends the money to. bankC will then send to bankB. All transfers are direct bank to bank between SWIFT members. On that point @Dan O is correct.

Did you actually look at and understand the odds offered? It seems you could easily think that the offered odds indicate Trump is a favorite while in fact he is considered an underdog. -

definitely a contender for poorest reading skills. Your comment makes it obvious you barely read the OP and didn't even start on the articles linked in the OP. Care to put in an actual effort to understand the topic? -

if it were 0% I wouldn't trust the source.... so 40% seems likely. -
Amongst the most accurate predictions for the 2020 presidential election were those by a data scientist from Northwestern University. Gamblers were his primary source. https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/international/us/will-there-be-a-kamala-harris-landslide-in-november-this-data-scientist-who-predicted-the-last-u-s-elections-says-yes/articleshow/113494981.cms?from=mdr OR https://fortune.com/2024/09/18/trump-vs-harris-election-odds-who-will-win/ paywall on that one 😪 but circumvention is possible

Honest Question: How is Trump a 'threat to Democracy'?

Trump is actually a third party candidate. He is not really a Republican. -

If more than 2 candidates, I favor implementing ranked voting rather than passing responsibility to the House or runoff elections. -
I think it's best to line up your emotional support team now. Your heart will eventually be broken.... hopefully before you're squished under the bus like many others who were besotted.

That's the same motivation as the long term Republicans that have publicly endorsed Harris in the upcoming election. -
Last time he just relocated "the swamp" to the White House. That was much more convenient for him.

There is no obvious way to see if the receiving Thai bank (Bangkok bank in my case) charged that .25% fee. The bank statement just shows the resulting amount of ฿ with no explanation of exchange rate or fees. How did you "offer to pay all charges"? I assume that choice was at your originating bank. I don't think that would cover any fees by the receiving bank, only for intermediary banks if any.

Honest Question: How is Trump a 'threat to Democracy'?
gamb00ler replied to diceman's topic in Political Soapbox
You're correct in that Trump cannot directly implement policies that are the state's responsibilities. However if he is re-elected his influence over state level politics will result in MAGA friendly candidates and thus policies having the edge. -

Trump is up for anything that will get him into power. He could care less about any policy unless it clearly costs him more votes than it gains. -
The best thing about your post is its brevity. They were newly manufactured using the modern versions of old technology.

This is sarcasm, right? When he says something clearly... he is clearly lying... otherwise he speaks in a most disorganized manner.
