Their main reason for a settlement would be that CBS can give Trump a small win so he can prance around in front of the MAGA droolers claiming a victory. There is as yet only vague claims by Trump's cronies. CBS's offer will be a pittance compared to Fox's 787M$ plus more coming down the pike for Smartmatic. Wanna bet?

At least you know enough to avoid real bets.

He desperately needs to appear to be doing something against the status quo. Logic plays no role in his choice of tactics.

Fancy a bit of Python? Life of Brian for the third+ (lost count) time. -
Fox news is likely going to really, really need your support. The Smartmatic defamation suit looks like it will follow the course that the Dominion defamation case took. Just desserts!

FBU Manila staff seems to be very poorly trained and either do not understand English well or suffer from very poor reading comprehension. My results in communicating with them have been pretty much useless. After a long wait my email answer from them has rarely been relevant to the questions asked. I have 3 outstanding issues with SSA, some have been ongoing for years. Manila staff cannot seem to understand what is written in the POMS manual for SSA. Now, I bypass Manila and send email directly to the Office of International Operations (OIO). They never respond. I follow that up with a call to the SSA 800# (800-772-1213) and the staff there tell me what's happening with my 561's. It seems that the emails to OIO may have some effect. Unfortunately, it seems that the standard IRS documentation (account transcript) that I sent with my 561 has bamboozled every SS staff that looks at it. It seems the communication between IRS and SSA is malfunctioning. Either I'm the unluckiest SS benefit recipient or the entire SSA is in a shambles.😢

Quite a few people in the USA will soon understand how little you know.... In 2023, Ontario also directly supplied electricity to 1.5 million U.S. homes and is a major exporter of power to Michigan, Minnesota and New York. Midwestern states in particular could face serious risks if Trump's plan for tariffs on Canada, Mexico and China goes into effect.

I checked with the Info window worker and was told that there is no need to update/verify my TM30 unless I leave the country. The ladies in that office gave me incorrect advice. Today I also asked at the Info window if I could renew my extension based on retirement using the combined value of my pension and bank deposit. My income letter from my consulate shows about 61,500 ฿ per month and I have about 100K-200K+ on deposit for many months. An Immigration Officer that came to the Info window answered my question said yes, they would give me an extension with that combination.

Almost all safe driving habits come from common sense. Better infrastructure and enforcement aren't going to provide much improvement in the incorporation of common sense into Thai driving practices. Every day that I'm on the road, I'll see some driver do something really stupid. Their actions often will greatly increase their risk and the potential gain is negligible. Not all of these stupid choices increase the real danger but they certainly increase the stress that the other driver's experience. Additionally, these poor choices also cause some other drivers to always drive overly slowly and cautiously which will generally add travel time to all trips.

This may be true in some instances. It will work for products that are primarily purchased in the US. Companies that produce products that are sold globally will be forfeiting the reduced labor costs if they return their manufacturing to the US. That will cause the US product to become more expensive than products from their non-US owned and non-tariffed competitors.

Unlike you, it appears Trudeau read and comprehended the NYT article. "Congress in 2020 established a commission to look into ways to reduce the flow of the drugs into the country. The commission found that “Canada is not known to be a major source of fentanyl, other synthetic opioids or precursor chemicals to the United States, a conclusion primarily drawn from seizure data,” according to its February 2022 report" -

SSA payments to Thailand

No... almost all regular savings accounts at Thai banks can be used to receive IDD deposits. Bangkok bank can be used for the old original EFT transfers as well as IDD. However to use that method you must open a special restricted account that only allows withdrawals in person. -

Hmmmm .... the much beloved liars who decided to cough up a lotta dough to prevent their extremely soiled laundry being exposed in a sure loser court trial. Move along... nothing to see here. Just more nonsense from an organization that identifies itself as a creator of entertainment rather than a news outlet. -
Can anyone tell me a better culinary combo than this?
gamb00ler replied to Elvis Presley's topic in Western Food in Thailand
My wife spent many years in US before I met her there. She understands well what ingredients Westerners don't like in Thai food so her Thai dishes are much more palatable to non-Thais. Her CM larb made with quality ground beef (in US) is to die for. -

I guess it depends on which regional version of larb you're referring to. CM larb contains makwen spice and is very different from Issan larb. I don't know the real name for the makwen spice but it looks a lot like black peppercorns and I think is grown in mountainous areas. We first bought some dried wild makwen still on the branches while visiting a hill tribe many years ago.
