  1. The Darwin award trophy factory is hiring... a bumper crop this year!
  2. He's too busy driving around looking for another dead bear to put in Central Park, or maybe he's back on heroin.
  3. If you're interested in filing your own US taxes there is a donation ware Excel spreadsheet that makes it pretty easy to do all the computations. It does not guide or advise you... but if you don't have any complicated investments/partnerships/etc... it is very useful. The creator puts in a lot of effort every year to keep it accurate as tax laws change. https://sites.google.com/view/incometaxspreadsheet/home I use that spreadsheet every year and then I file using OLT free online filing for my US taxes. I have not resided in Canada for decades so I don't file taxes there and cannot offer any advice. For Thai taxes... if you're not a resident for more than 180 days in 2025... you are not subject to Thai taxes for 2025.
  4. It definitely can reproduce. It just needs a little help.... kinda like the people who utilize IVF to have children. There would be no evolution of viruses without reproduction. Practically everyone that can tie their shoes know that viruses do exist..... why don't you rejoin the functioning segment of the human race?
  5. Are you really that incompetent in logic? You claim we're shooting the 'messenger'.... LOL.... we're shooting the message's author..... see what I did there? LOL You anti-vaxxers must be descended from parrots.... you hear a soundbite that stimulates you and off you go..... endlessly parroting it anywhere and everywhere.
  6. LOL..... you're barking up the wrong tree. Do you know that PokerGuys are not perfect at knowing who's lying but they are really, really good at detecting male bovine excrement.
  7. It's really, really blindingly obvious you have no idea about science and how the it is continually pushed forward through hard work and discussion. But... on the upside.... you never take your foot off the gas despite driving the wrong way on the information highway.
  8. You're kidding, right? Just the presence of so-called 'Health Authorities' is cause for celebration amongst the anti-vaxxers? LOL talk about desperation. No names for these 'Authorities'? your post is barely a whisper of smoke.... no fuel on your fire!
  9. In July '24 I opened an account with Krungsri in CM Airport mall. I provided passport, certificate of residency from Imm. and my Thai Tax ID card. I don't remember them asking for anything else. They set everything up for their savings account with better interest. They also set it up so I don't pay the withholding tax. All done on first visit. I chose Krungsri because I knew they were the only Thai bank still doing fee free 'cash advance' on foreign debit cards. Even though my debit card issuer refunds the ATM fees, I prefer getting cash advance at the teller because I can get up to 150K ฿ per transfer plus they will do at least two transfers at the same visit. I don't show monthly transfers for my extension (embassy letter 2023-5) so I didn't require documentation for Imm.
  10. To summarize ... some Aussie fella, heard something about maybe some organization somewhere that represents 'many' people concerned about COVID vaccines. The organization in question has zero footprint in Google... must have just been freshly imagined.
  11. Dear me... post after post consisting of only fetid opinion based on 19th century thought..... Your peephole perspective of the real universe has created a simpleton's interpretation.
  12. .... and even a high school education will ensure that the readers of your AN posts correctly identify them as a simpleton's nonsense disproven repeatedly by scientists around the world.
  13. You must lead an 'interesting' life if you suspect any of those things are likely to happen to you. As for the beard..... replacing your phone's biometric of your face should take maybe a minute or two.
  14. You should have a contingency plan in place as phones get lost all the time. I only am familiar with iPhone and Apple makes it easy to keep a backup in the cloud or on your desktop. Losing a phone is not much different than having a desktop failure and you should always have a backup... or two! Don't just make a plan.... test it as well.
  15. So creating desperation in your future trade partners is going to ensure an amicable relationship? LOL I bet your dance card remained unblemished.
  16. Yeah.... all that's missing in the MAGAnistas posts are the ALL CAPS style of proof!
  17. You do know that dictionaries are available to tell you the meaning of words you don't understand, right?
  18. Thankfully.... your form of 'common sense' about the usefulness of vaccines after contact is in fact... not common. For instance the rabies vaccine is THE ONLY effective treatment and it does work after exposure as long as given before symptoms develop. Your uneducated opinions are as helpful as second hand toilet paper.
  19. There is always a shortage of donations... so please don't delay. Monty Python liver donation clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ig9wr8517E
  20. The facial recognition to which I was referring is NOT related to the bank. It is built into the phone's software and does not involve any other hardware or software. It is implemented by the phone manufacturer not any bank.
  21. I wouldn't make the same generalization as you stated but an employee of the green bank tried to insist I MUST deposit a minimum of 10K to open my first bank account with them. I smiled and said "That is not true". She resumed the paperwork and eventually deposited my 500฿ and handed me my bank book. That bank had refused to open an account for me while I was still on an O visa after my Thai wife and I moved to Thailand during COVID. I only wanted an account as backup in case of difficulties with Bangkok bank.
  22. you must have only a black and white TV.
  23. Have you read the Oxford dictionary's definition of racism? For your convenience: The inability or refusal to recognize the rights, needs, dignity, or value of people of particular races or geographical origins. More widely, the devaluation of various traits of character or intelligence as 'typical' of particular peoples. I'm guessing you don't really have open and unfiltered conversations with that many Thais. Many Thais hold racist views even of other Thais from different regions. Don't you think many Thai female's obsession with light skin tones is relevant? For many decades it was nigh impossible for hill tribe members to be recognized as Thai citizens because of their culture's simplistic and undocumented traditions vs the government's inflexible attitude.
  24. My reference to facial scanning has nothing to do with Thai banks. It has to do with biometric based security on your smartphone. Banking apps can use that biometric security as part of their application security but it has nothing to do with bank transfers.
  25. That webpage only lists the interest rates for 'standard' savings account and for fixed deposits. Many Thai banks offer better rates on special savings accounts.
