  1. Schwab (US broker) will open an International account for investors living in Thailand. Minimum balance is 25K US$.
  2. If PEA is your power provider, you can just take a photo of the bar code on an old bill and keep it in your phone and then use that to pay the bill with KBank app. That worked for me a couple of years ago when the PEA meter reader left the neighbor's bill in our mailbox and our's was lost.
  3. It seems he has to rely on text-to-speech assistance.
  4. No need to perform a transfer to know the exact exchange rate. That rate is published once every Tue through Sat at about 7AM Thai time. The rate won't change until the next scheduled rate adjustment. The Visa exchange rate for Thai ฿ to US $ can be found at: https://www.visa.co.uk/support/consumer/travel-support/exchange-rate-calculator.html Make sure you get the rate for changing ฿ to $. Also set the Bank Fee to 0% when using a Schwab debit card with no foreign transaction fee.
  5. This is one of the reasons I constantly check for vehicles behind me in the adjacent lanes. I like to know if those lanes offer a safe escape route.
  6. LOL .... this post is definitely a contender. If you have a car body with no engine.... you don't have a car. And you'll never know if it can be used for transportation. If you have evidence, theory and motive for a case but don't have standing.... you don't have a case and no judge will waste anytime on it. Any decision on the merits will be just smoke and in no way enforceable. Needless to say... judges don't have time to waste on such failures.
  7. As is usually the case the countervailing facts fade away very quickly from their memory leaving only their hatred and despair.
  8. If true, I would have a great deal of difficulty using the word parallel since the universe that suffered a Trump victory would be headed in a distinctly different direction than this one.

  10. I laughed so hard when Mike Lindell offered millions if anybody could prove that his "data" was not evidence of voting machine hacking. Then, a software developer showed the data was irrelevant to the 2020 election results. Now the pillow guy has to pay out the 5 million $$. A fool and his money...
  11. If the surface is good, slamming both brakes is the best. If your braking traction is compromised going for the sideways slide is often better. In later years, I think all the large bikes had integrated braking where both brakes were activated whenever the front or back brake lever was used.
  12. for sure... there is a wheel sensor that indicates if the wheel is turning. The ABS braking system includes a computer that checks that sensor many times (100's?) per second to make sure the wheel is actually turning. If the ABS computer detects that the wheel has stopped turning the brakes are released for a short time to allow the wheel to turn again. To test the ABS system, find a safe area to get up to a decent speed and then slam on the brakes. On the Gold Wing I could feel the pulsing of the brakes as the computer very quickly released and then re-applied the brakes. @scubascuba3, I never turned the ABS off. There was an ABS status indicator when turning on the bike. If it was accidentally off I would have noticed.
  13. absolutely ABS is good but it doesn't work 100%. I drove a Gold Wing for decades and my last one had ABS. One time my front wheel was on very smooth and wet concrete as I made a slow turn into a mall parking lot. I barely touched the front brake and the wheel locked and skidded enough to make the bike fall over onto the engine crash guard. I was amazed but unhurt.
  14. If you can login to your account using a web browser, you can send Bangkok bank a message via their web page. I've never done it so I don't know if they will use email to respond or if they will use their web interface to respond.
  15. We agree... that is a problem.... we just severely disagree on how to convince those 40% to trust science, math and government.
  16. If enough time, slamming on the back brake to lock the back wheel and initiating a sideways skid on the left side is the best when a serious collision is unavoidable. try to stay on the bike and not high side it. That's what we taught on the Motorcycle Safety Foundation's beginner's course.
  17. Your best source can be reached at 1333. They have staff with decent English speaking abilities.
  18. It's your claim... you prove it.
  19. I think Nietzsche flunked math. There is also a corollary... you can't prove anything without evidence.
  20. In your estimate, how many people have to be involved in the conspiracy that "stole" the election? In all your research ... cough cough..... you must have done some thinking about the number required, right?
  21. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_United_States_presidential_elections_by_popular_vote_margin
  22. Every US resident who watches any news has been subjected to years of brainwashing by millions of repetitions of baseless accusations about election fraud. About 40% of the them have fallen for it. PS - pretty much zero successful prosecutions for voter fraud
  23. He's not claiming fraud... you are. Pony up or surrender.
  24. Slavish fealty counts... reading.... not so much.
