  1. Interesting... how have you formed your opinions on transexuals? Is there something that you haven't mentioned?
  2. The reason you don't arrive at logical conclusions is because you only analyze issues with very shallow thinking. Sure.... assault rifles contribute a small % of gun deaths. Most assault rifle deaths are amongst the easiest firearm deaths to prevent. The arguments often used to defend the sale of assault rifles are amongst the weakest the gun lobby has ever put forth. These two factors make an assault rifle ban one of the most reasonable steps towards lowering firearm deaths. An individual can greatly lower their risk of a death from a gun by: - avoiding drug activity - avoiding gang activity - avoiding people involved in theft, robbery and other property crimes There are not many options for people to avoid nutjobs with assault rifles.
  3. that alone is a sufficient reason.
  4. I hope you don't think that your argument here isn't going to broadcast your lack of coherent logic.
  5. He's following in dear leader's footsteps and is practicing his Trumpglish.
  6. Sure.... we can talk later.... but the problem is you, just like now, won't listen.
  7. and when you have a fever your temperature hardly changes.
  8. watch out for that mousetrap.
  9. That's about the right time for crying babies to be put to bed.
  10. The "fix" has been ignored for decades already. Climate scientists have been ringing the alarm bell for a long time but politicians have chosen to ignore it.
  11. Don't look now..... but that axe you've been carrying around forever has been completely ground into powder.
  12. I only have experience with a fixed deposit account at Bangkok bank. Even if you have a Thai tax ID on file with them, they will still withhold 15% of the interest earned on that fixed deposit account. For that reason I switched from fixed account at BBL to EZ Savings at SCB (1.5%) a couple of years ago when BBL fixed deposit was paying less. Now, I'm fortunate enough to be able to get an income letter from my consulate to remove that 800k/400k ball and chain.
  13. The RNC are so greedy for power that they could possibly turn on Trump if it became obvious he is going to lose. It is still possible to replace Trump as the candidate. Here's what the RNC would need to do: Rule 9 of The Rules of the Republican Party provides guidance on how to fill presidential and vice presidential vacancies.[9] It says that the Republican National Committee (RNC) is authorized to select a new candidate by majority vote or by reconvening the national convention to fill the vacancy. In the former process, the three RNC members from each state—comprised of a state chair, a national committeeman, and a national committeewoman—would be able to cast the same number of votes as the entire delegation from that state to the convention.[9] Under Rule 9(c), if the three RNC members did not all support the same candidate, their votes would be proportionately distributed.[9] For example, each RNC member would cast 13 of Kansas' 39 delegate votes.
  14. Let's hope the RNC puts your theory to the test.
  15. errrr... they all swallowed the blue pill?
  16. Fortune's Formula By William Poundstone, an intriguing book that delves into the world of mathematics, gambling, and Wall Street. It explores the concept of Kelly criterion, a formula for maximizing wealth, and its impact on the financial world. The two co-inventors of the formula were engineers at Bell labs. Readers with a STEM bent will enjoy this book.
  17. One of my wife's cousins is in the tour bus biz and knows a lot of great Thai restaurants that are under the radar. I've been to one in Ayutthaya in a rural setting on the banks of the Chao Phraya river. I've never been disappointed by any of the dishes we've ordered and the prices were hardly higher than side street vendors. Panang is definitely a central Thailand dish and I've had many excellent versions of it, including my wife's. She cooks as well as the restaurant I described above. Her panang shown below.
  18. it seems UOB is overly restrictive in their policy for outbound transfers. I know BBL and SCB don't restrict the outbound transfers to the amount of FET's you can show.
  19. OK.... I thought SSA/US Treasury used SWIFT for those transfers.... so I assumed it would show as FTT. My bad, sorry.
  20. You're using the "original" electronic transfer method for SS benefits. BBL should allow you to change to the newer IDD method which fill show transfers as FTT and will also remove the annoying restrictions on the account receiving the transfers. You will need a different account at BBL to use the IDD method otherwise you will still have those restrictions. To change to IDD you have to download a form specific to Thailand and then send to Manila.
  21. https://maps.app.goo.gl/QYZiq59q7Wj2Esh8A Is this the one you recommend?
  22. My long time friend has done several transfers out and hasn't been asked to show a work permit. Sometimes the bank gets obsessed with details and other documentation. One time BKK bank asked my friend for invoices/receipts when he said the funds were to pay for travel for his family to visit him. https://www.bangkokbank.com/en/Personal/Other-Services/Transfers/Transferring-Out-of-Thailand/IFT-mB
  23. The companies decided to limit/stop advertising on X because X could not/would not promise that the ads would not appear in conjunction with material the companies found offensive. That is their right. Even if a single company/organisation advised the companies to do so, that is legal because the said company does not have any authority over their client's decisions.
  24. so X is a competitor to Disney? I agree with your statement but X's advertisers for the most part are not competitors.
  25. Society generally calls those with the Elon's level of impulse control children.
