  1. Thanks, but what is 3. Store by weight? What is 4. Electric cars saying? U have a link?
  2. How much are our finest MG owners currently paying for the yearly registration sticker? Us petrol ⛽️ heads are paying by engine volume. How are EVs charged, by weight? Engine kw?
  3. If you are spending 6.67 baht/km on tires, you should release the handbrake.
  4. To the 2 confused souls ???? out there, let's do the math. 10,000 baht/month x 12 month x 7 = 840k. 840k/135k km = 6.22 baht/km SeñorLA was ICE salesman of the century for a little while.
  5. That is guaranteed to happen, but how? A special charging tariff is easy back in farang-land where the nanny state hear and see all, but not so easy in Thailand where people spin the meter backwards at will and monitor when the PEA guy does his rounds. Here they might recover the lost tax through the annual road tax. How much are our finest MG owners currently paying for the yearly registration sticker? Us petrol ⛽️ heads are paying by engine volume. How are EVs charged, by weight? Engine kw?
  6. Good to have some positive vibes at the EV thread ✨️. It is a new technology and I can see it has a segment in the car market. For some people a pickup truck is the right car, others a station car, some need a family saloon. How about a hot hatchback, a SUV or why not, an EV? The "green" argument is total garbage and it is sad that many governments "force" us toward EVs. Let technology and free will decide the future of transportation.
  7. I think you are missing a zero ????.
  8. One2car have some weird pricing. There are also some new Mercedes listed more expensive than the official Mercedes price list. Could be old adds from before the price cut or just poor sales strategy from the vendor, similar to the condo market here. Below also don't make much sense.
  9. Did you use one? Could be interesting to ask the driver what their average monthly milage is.
  10. That is great ???? and when the Chinese rushed into this new industry and are mass producing cars faster than they can build ships to carry them away, they overnight adopted quality control and moved beyond long traditions of cost cutting? I honestly think it is great you enjoy your EV and your car might operate trouble free for as long as you need. I just fear the Chinese EV miracle might turn into a nightmare for some car owners. Even Japanese cars were junk when they first came along in the '60 and '70. Quality takes time.
  11. Is battery leakage not a long term concern for our EV owners? Who haven't opened an old remote control or flashlight to find leaking batteries?
  12. Probably as much energy as your MG is using to drive a Planck length.
  13. Average milage is nearly 12,000 km/year for cars in Thailand, but data from more mature EV markets shows that EV drive 50-70% as far as ICE vehicles, so 8,000 km/year is a fair guesstimate.
  14. Stagnation is not the same as stagflation. Apples are also not the same as oranges, you are correct.
  15. Good point. The Demographics is a long term challenge for many Asian countries. Koreans have exceptionally few kids.
  16. Thailand have a stagnation problem, with low inflation and high debt.
  17. About 0.025%, assuming 40,000 EV registered as of August 2023.
  18. Nothing to hate here, EV are irrelevant in Thailand’s overall power consumption. Let's say Thailand will have 200,000 EV by 2027 each using 1,200 kWh/year based on 8,000 km milage/year. That is 240 million kWh or 0.12% of Thailands current 202 billion kWh consumption. OK, they might be able to spot a small increase during the night ????, but they will have to look close.
  19. Very interesting and useful information. Do you have a list and ranking of all the different title deeds in Thailand? Is Por Bor Tor 5 land at the bottom?
  20. I meant to type EV industry. I think I need new ????.
  21. Remove the tax subsidies and you can put the entire EV out of its misery ???? ???? ???? ???? ????.
  22. A bit of oil is no match for the sewage system in Pattaya.
  23. The Chinese have arrived and are opening their "business"....
  24. That didn't take long. Who from the new government have a family member owning a state-of-the-art escalator company?
