  1. I tried to ask a serious question and got in fine answer, actually quite good... Question: Dependant visa for schoolchild on ED visa? Answer (after a little while thinking): If a child is studying in Thailand on an Education (ED) visa, their dependent (e.g. parent) can apply for a dependent visa. This dependent visa is known as a Non-Immigrant O visa. The dependent visa will allow them to stay with the child and become their legal guardian. To apply for a dependent visa, you will need to provide the required documents to the Thai embassy or consulate in your country. These documents typically include the child's ED visa, proof of relationship
  2. Me too – i.e., watching the traffic, especially scary dangerous tourists trying to drive on a motorbike – there is a stone-shop on the land side by the new Fishman Village-Bang Rak Road-roundabout. There are furthermore a couple of shops on both sides of the Ring Road towards Maenam.
  3. I wrote "... if you own your own condo or house...", so the owner is the landlord...????
  4. Probably on the Ring Road in Bo Phut and Maenam area, where there are several shops selling stone or concrete stuff; I've seen them there, but don't recall by memory exactly which shop(s)...????
  5. Seems like that if you just stay abroad some years, just like a red bull, you can avoid prison term...
  6. I have a small fixed fee for the meter – just under 25 baht plus v.a.t. – I presume it's the same on a temporary supply; it might be a different fee. But it's long time since I had temporary supply when building, and I don't remember details, and I don't know if I kept any bill somewhere. When I made concrete decks I installed a water pipesunderneath, in case I one day would have the option for public water supply. The piped ended visible with a cover on top. It can also end in a small well-shaft or like, so it ready for connection to the public line. I actually used my pipe later, as I installed water tanks, after I gave up using the well; I'm living too close to the beach, so the well water was not enough and of good enough quality.
  7. Nope, I did it in January on day seven...
  8. I've done it online and it was approved...????
  9. You can do 90-days address report up to one week after due date. It's easy to do online. Address report is not checked when leaving the country and resets when re-entering. I don't know if a former missing 90-days address report can be a problem later, so why not just use the online option...????
  10. So it's not a "real" immigration office, where you can do annual extensions of stay..?
  11. Because the file you log into is for a house master, and it only updates what that specific house master has registered...????
  12. For house master that can be a user, if you own your own condo or house; a foreigner can own a house, but not the land under it. I'm a registered there, I'm am user, but also house master, so I need to make a TM30 for both myself in my own house, and when I have foreign guests visting me...
  13. I didn't know that there is a Surat Thani branch immigration office in Choengmon – that's news info...????
  14. You can buy them in paper-shops, that kind of stores normally have all the standard Thai contracts to be filled in. They are of course in Thai language, which is the only legal language for agreements – i.e. if a contract is in both English and Thai, it's only the Thai part that is legally binding.
  15. No, if you are so-called "house master" – i.e., own your house – you just register in the before mentioned link and report TM30 by Internet. You can print a receipt for Samui Immigration. Your end-of-.stay date when reporting will be the end of permitted annual extension, as you cannot stay longer than the stamp in your passport...????
  16. You are posting in a Samui sub-forum. Immigration office rules are different in different provinces; Samui don't have the same rules as Chonburi, so not much help to tell about what is needed there...????
  17. Because Samui Immigration is well known for having their own, little different rules... The old TM30-site for Surat Thani Immigration is no longer working, you need to register with the nationwide TM30-site HERE...????
  18. Good idea, but what if getting lost in the jungle without a mobile signal...
  19. Seems like we are going the same places, I still live in Land-of-Smiles...????
  20. If the first TM30 has an end date of stay later than your returning date, you don't need to do anything to my knowledge. When I have guests doing a trip somewhere else during their stay, I never re-do TM30s.
  21. I was told that this year we shall pay in June, last year it was April. That's where I live, I cannot say it's the same in all provinces. You better check payment time – bill or not – as you will pay fine and penalty interest, if you pay late...
  22. You can only have temporary electricity supply until your house is 80 percent finished, at which time you can obtain a House Book that is needed for permanent electricity supply. Temporary supply is often limited to one phase 16A and at a higher rate than permanent electricity supply. Any post and wires needed for the supply, you'll have to pay. However, when the posts are there, others can also use them. If you can make an agreement with a wire from a neighbor and a sub-meter, you might be able to pay only the lower permanent supply rate per unit; and sometimes also a small gift to the kind neighbor. Unfortunately I don't have public water supply, so I have no experience with that...????
  23. There is no lagoon behind Maenam Beach...

  25. Wow, I live permanently beachfront on Maenam Beach and walk half the bay every day, I've seen not seen or heard about any oil contamination, so it might be very local in smaller part of the beach. However, the sand might sometimes get dark from natural underground oil, which is so close to the seabed that small amounts can surface, where-after the dark oily sand can be moved by sea current and waves to the beaches of Samui. It's not contamination, it's nature...
