Controversial media influencer Andrew Tate arrested in Romania.
OneMoreFarang replied to Social Media's topic in World News
That reminds me of my conversation with my gf today. I had to explain to her that there are countries in this world where you are your own filling station attendant. Not like Thailand, where you have all those attendees who do that for you. -

I wonder why anybody with tons of money would live in Romania. I am sure there are reasons, but I am not sure they are the kind of reasons you would like to explain to your mother... -
Which one is better? Phuket or Pattaya?
OneMoreFarang replied to Goodboybkk's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
IMHO you think Pattaya is a rip-off until you come to Phuket. Then you realize it can be worse, a lot worse. Disclosure: I didn't visit Phuket since a long time. But I would be surprised if it got better. -

Let's ask this in a different way: Would anybody who thinks clearly deliberately run away from a restaurant bill? -

Was he in regular in those Pattaya bars? That would be interesting news. ???? -
I guess most doctors in Thailand are aware of the bad air-quality, at least the doctors in the polluted areas. Do they always get it right? No. But are they better than the average guy in a non-medical forum? Sure.

Stupid me! I lent a lot of money to a Thai woman.

Obviously it's too easy for all of us to laugh and say we would never have done something like that. Yeah, sure, this is why we all have the experience how (not to) get the money back... Maybe try to look at this problem from another angle. Did she borrow it and there was never any business? Did she use it for the business? And was that business successful and she could give the money back to you? Or was it a failure, also for her, and she just doesn't have any money anymore? And if the business does currently not make (enough) money, it is just a stupid business idea or could it make money if it would be better managed? If there is a business and if it could be successful, then maybe you could ask her: How can I help you with your business? Maybe I look at the books or maybe I have some other ideas. Is this all realistic and will this help to get your money back? Maybe not. But maybe it is good for all involved to try together to make the best out of the situation. Carpe diem -

Then why didn't they put any of them on the cover? ???? -
I didn't write people gave roses to the soldiers because they love them. I wrote: "people were happy Thaksin was removed. " And that is the truth. I was there, I saw it with my own eye, and many "ordinary" people did that. But obviously you will find some article somewhere that explains reality in a different way. And please don't call me "my friend". I am not your friend.

I was referring to the last two coups. Many of us remember them because we were here at that time. Maybe ask a few people about the coups and many will be able to tell you something - without Wikipedia or any history book. And yes, people gave soldiers roses on the streets because people were happy Thaksin war removed. I can tell you because I was there. I didn't give them roses, I bought them some soft drinks.

I wouldn't call myself old, but I am obviously a lot older than 30 years ago. In general, I am positive, and I like to see the world in a positive way. But sometimes that is difficult. Just today when I was in my usual coffee shop two maybe 20 old girls arrived together with their camera. They started to sit on a table and then one girl made maybe 20 pictures of the other girl. And then the other girl used the camera to make lots of pictures of the other girl. And then they changed their places and the whole procedure started again. And then the food arrived, and they made the same pictures again this time with food. And obviously lots of additional pictures from all angles just from the food. A couple of the regular guests looked at that scenario and it was funny to see their faces. Like: Are you done yet? How long will you continue with that? Will you drink your coffee before it is cold or is it more important to make all those pictures? I don't think anybody said anything, but I am sure most of us had negative thoughts. Why? Because we are all negative? Or because the word around us is going nuts? These two girls are obviously only one of the examples. Others are all those people sitting together in groups in restaurants and everybody is looking at their phone, no conversation at all. And then there was this guy today who crossed the street without paying any attention to the cars and bikes with his phone in front of his face. I honked my horn, and he shouted something in my direction. How dare I expect from him to look where he is going. Sometimes it is difficult not to have negative ideas about all those other people around us.

I suggest first you should check if you can change the default setting. Maybe there is a little switch on the LED controller or a software setting, something like that. If you can change it on the floodlight (controller) to start with OFF then you don't have to worry about the rest.

Lazada sure didn't manufacture that thing. Who is the manufacturer? A brand name company? Personally I think anything which is possibly dangerous and/or important, like medical devices, should only be purchased from reputable companies. And then there are usually no problems.

Thanks, that's a good point. I forgot about toaster and kettle and such things.

Let's start with the information that I did electrical installations a long time ago in a country far away. At that time people used a few breakers for a whole house. I also know the theory how to select wiring and a breaker for a specific load. I know i.e. that my water heater has a rated current of 36.4A so I will use a 40A breaker for that one. But how about all those "normal" power outlets and lights? I guess for the electrical sockets I use 16A breakers. For the LED lights 10A breakers should allow more than enough current. But does it make sense to use 10A for this and 16A for that? Or is it just easier to use 16A for everything which does not require more current like the heater, stove, etc.? To be clear there is no misunderstanding: There will be maybe 6 separate breakers for light and 6 separate breakers for electrical sockets. In theory I could change breakers later, i.e. I could install a 10A MCB and change it later to a 16A if I need it. But doing that would mean work on the breaker box which would mean switching the electricity completely off. It's obviously easier to have the MCBs ready installed, maybe with a few spares to be sure. Which breakers would you use?

He killed a police officer. If that is not enough motivation for the police to "find" him then I don't have any hope anything else will motivate them. And to be fair: Imagine one police officer would make it his top priority to find the killer. And let's imagine he would be able to arrest him and put him behind bars. Now we can all speculate if that officer will live happily ever after, get a big promotion and be the hero. Or maybe not...
