  1. Thanks for all the suggestions of where to buy, seems I have the choice of quite a few locations.
  2. I drew all my money out of said bank and transferred the lot to Thailand. I was just sick of never being able to get through, poor customer service (usually from India) and just the pig headedness of the actual staff I had to deal with. They made it extremely difficult and stressful to withdraw MY money.
  3. "Have no intention of returning home?" Can expect Immigration to be busy catching all the overstayers.
  4. I guess it depends on how advanced it is when you're diagnosed.
  5. In Pattaya obviously. A nice vintage Port, probably Aussie.
  6. As I've got older (now 80) I've become paranoid about my health, to the point where it's probably ruining whatever time I have left. I'm going for an ultrasound for my prostate on Sunday, and I already fear the worst even before I get the results. I just dread any long term illness where the price of private healthcare takes me to bankruptcy.
  7. Caveat Emptor. People have been getting scammed forever and a day, can't protect people from their own gullibility.
  8. There's falangs getting scammed every day of the week here in Thailand, what's their excuse, just stupidity?
  9. More like draft dodgers.
  10. That probably applies to 50% of the male population. At least those who watch porn.
  11. That's why people get divorced and have separate bedrooms, just so they can get what they rightly deserve.
  12. And yet, myself having worked and paid taxes all my life, is penalised by having my OAP reduced by 50% because I receive a Comsuper pension from my employment. In fact, I'm only $600 a month better off than someone who never paid a cent in taxes. Fair?
  13. Nope, still procrastinating.
  14. One correction. You are still eligible for an aged pension even if you have never worked a day in your life, ie not paid any taxes.
  15. I think the Peaceful Pill might be a better option.
  16. India is possibly another source, but it would be nice to know in advance where to buy.
  17. So the bottom line is that you may die in excruciating pain? No wonder people look for exit bags, Nembutal etc.
  18. Must have a well paying job in the UK that he can afford to pay child support and still go on holidays.
  19. It's as good as any.
  20. A lot of conjecture and conspiracy theories, but revealed nothing new.
  21. Have a friend who comes from Australia every year for holiday, always rents a motorbike (has licence and wears a helmet) but this year he gave the bike back early, said after a couple of near misses that he realised how easy it would be to end up a vegetable.
  22. I don't think she actually confused the two colours. I'm colour blind but can still differentiate between green and red.
  23. This is also one of many posts asking the same question.
  24. Thanks, but I'll wait until they send me the form. What did the doctor need to fill out? My Comsuper POL had to be signed by a Notary Public, but I used a local lawyer and they were happy with that.
  25. I did get one from Comsuper last year, but they were happy for me to email a copy to them.
