  1. Maybe you missed the word 'unsolicited' or perhaps you're projecting your own experience with women, but whatever the reason you're determined to be negative, and that's your choice, but it does not reflect my personal experience in Thailand.
  2. Thai people are not shy about commenting on the perceived beauty of a girl, so it's common to get regular, unsolicited confirmation about a partners looks. Mines a good 9.5 to 10 in Thailand and off the scale when I take her to visit my country. But she also has a pleasant character (for 3 weeks out of every 4 anyway).
  3. The OP mentions the possibilities in Thailand - so surely the aim should be to find a 10 with the pleasant character of a 6. I found a 10 (11 in my view) with a nice, caring nature ... and she thought I scored just high enough to not scare the street dogs - and we've been together over 10 years. We met via work rather than on-line though - so maybe that helps?
  4. The HiSo Thai people used to admire the British until the old British Embassy was sold off to Central, now we're a laughing stock. I think Thais in Tourist areas tend to group all 'falangs' together - so do not differentiate between Russians, Germans, Brits, Americans etc, and we're seen as marginally preferable to the mass tourism Chinese/Indians but not viewed as highly as Japanese or Koreans. Thai social media has created a poor image of Chinese and Indian tourists.
  5. Cycling would be better.
  6. Shouldn't the term be a "transman"? A Pontiac Transam isn't called a Transmexico just because it happens to be going South. And you're right, the last paragraph has nothing to do with the story and linking the two is just wrong.
  7. After reading the OP and other replies, I feel embarrassed to say my childhood was great. As forces kids (sons of a pilot), myself and my 2 brothers moved homes and often countries every few years, so we learned to mix well and adapt. Air bases and the hinterlands that surround them are a wonderland for active kids - burnt out aircraft to play on, woods full of adventures - during the school holidays we'd go out at dawn and return battered and bruised from our adventures just before nightfall. I'm amazed all three of us lived to be old .... falling out of trees, off makeshift rafts, blowing stuff up with home made explosives, riding knackered Honda 70 field bikes then later, leaky old twin cylinder road bikes. Dad was away often (Cold War fighter pilot, then later V-bombers) and our Mother ruled with fear and the odd back hand slap when we didn't run fast enough, but we were always well fed, well dressed and cared for .... tough love. It was a blast, and set me up for my later travels that brought me to Thailand via India.
  8. The only way to stop this trade is to stop giving free money and accommodation to illegal immigrants.
  9. Great advice. I believe I found one so caring, devoted and searingly hot, she's worth the commitment, but her family!!!
  10. They could also charge VAT (Vaginal Added Tax)
  11. Taxing the oldest profession would raise more money than trying to tax foreigner's pensions.
  12. Just find a new girl with bigger boobs and a shapely but.
  13. First option is closest to my circumstances .... I already have a TIN as I pay Thai tax on my work in Thailand. But I'm not sure about completing the form sent by K-Bank, as I've not heard about any other banks asking for this. Also, I pay tax in Thailand on my Thai income, and have paid years of tax in my original 'home' country and complete an annual tax return there, so I'm not keen on encouraging taxation of any home country funds I may transfer here. I've already paid for the accommodation of several boat loads of illegal immigrants in my 'home country' and paid for a submarine or two in Thailand, so I think I've done my bit.
  14. I think your 'meter' is designed to detect the WIFI frequency, as it's purpose will be to set up WIFI networks. If it really detected all electro magnetic fields, it would show that your house is an overlapping mass of radiation .... electrical wiring, TV, chargers, phones, fridge motor, AC compressor, microwave oven, your laptop etc etc.
  15. The wife ..... she's a real version of Joi from Bladerunner 2049.
  16. Light colored ventilated mesh jacket with back and elbow pads from Paddock at Huai Kwang, Bangkok .... not expensive, but probably only good for low speed tumbles, but the reflective finish helps keep me cool .... ish.
  17. Long distance journeys to visit farms around rural Thailand carrying bulky equipment, then muddy farm tracks - where 4X4 plus a diff lock is handy. Sometimes carrying several passengers too.
  18. If interest shown by people at the Motorshow is any guide .... it looks like EV sales will be up next year. Of course visits to stands may not translate to sales, but the busiest were the Chinese EV displays. We're in the market for a new car, but it probably won't be an EV due to our specific needs, but the cars with the most interesting designs and innovative features were definitely the EV's.
  19. Is that a question or a sermon? If a question: 'Yes'.
  20. Brave and responsible passengers and bus driver, police ..... not so much
  21. I still haven't got my refund for 2 flights they cancelled during COVID. How did you get this dodgy company to give you the refund?
  22. Looking to replace our Nissan X-Trail 4WD, which has been excellent.... but very few options on the Thai market. We drive quite long distances for work and do regular visit to farms - so a 4X4 SUV is needed. Subaru Forrester is a possibility, but Subaru have stopped production in Thailand, they've not not brought their new model to Thailand and they were not even at the current Bangkok Motorshow, so I think they'll withdraw from Thailand soon. Honda CR-V - high cost and looks delicate (and low) for farm visits, Fortuna - poor ride quality, Mu-X - very truck-like ride and interior, Pajero Sport - based on the older model truck, new one must be due soon, Everest - comparatively expensive, feels huge, looks like fridge, Nissan Terra - great value, smooth ride, nice interior .... but concerned about Nissan's future. So that leaves the Chinese ... and the GWM Tank 300 looks impressive and I was impressed with it on a short 'motorshow car park' drive .... but it's an untested brand and a complex hybrid system may not go well with Thai farm mud. Also, with so many Chinese brands entering Thailand, will they all stay long term? We're down to a short-list of two: Tank 300 and hope it's reliable and tough enough (my choice) Nissan Terra - and hope Nissan can restructure and survive in some form (her choice) Leaning towards the Terra, as a diesel with a proper auto box, and based on a truck, should be tough, and it's the smoothest riding of the truck-based SUV's.... and Nissan offered a great PX deal. Analysis paralysis is setting in, but I feel the whole auto market is about to go through a dramatic change.
  23. Logical too .... a simple barrier to reduce airborne particle spread. A much better option than wrecking economies and forcing businesses into bankruptcy with lockdowns. The practice of wearing a mask in public whenever you have a cold or flu was common practice in Asia long before COVID.
