We're down to about 1m2, I've got masses of white of course. The front of these lights where the "glass" is don't really get very warm, the heat is all on the back (it's a crappy heatsink, hence the COBs not lasting 1,000,000 hours). In the current torrent the unit is also being water-cooled!!! With my luck we'll get a lightning hit that will fry it anyway 😞

Whilst taking down one of my 10W (real 10W) 12V floodlights to replace the COB LED device butter-fingers here dropped it from about 2m. Of course, it found the only rock within 1 light-year and the glass turned into a multi-piece jigsaw with no box lid picture 😞 So, not having a suitable piece of glass to hand I used some 3mm clear acrylic. The light works nicely. But! Just how long is this supposedly UV tolerant acrylic going to last in the Thai weather? Answers on a postcard to ...

Do you still have the old battery? HomeDepot in the US (you'll need your VPN to access) has this info. Time to start trolling through all the battery offerings on Lazada etc. to find something of similar dimensions. I'd start in motorcycle batteries.
