  1. Yeah, I do have "more accurate" dates, but commercial in confidence etc. etc.
  2. Yes, the trains are testing over a limited section, it's not open to the public.
  3. Yeah, our daytime usage is pretty well zero due to us having hybrid grid-tie solar, so if we get an electronic meter I think we will go TOU. At present we have a spinning disc meter that goes backwards if we export excess solar energy.
  4. You are, as I noted, 1.2.2, lower than 22kV, unless you have a private transformer. But you can check easily coz your bill will tell you (just look at the standing charge).
  5. And then ... In reality, look at end December / early January for a passenger service.
  6. I too wonder about the very high voltages quoted for some tools. Anything over 48V or so is going to need a physically large pack. My 10.8V (later re-branded to 12V) DeWalt tools just keep going, the impact-driver is particularly good. If you don't have an impact driver, get one, far better than using a drill to put in screws. I will say you tend to get what you pay for, the weak point is almost always the batteries (which are of course unobtainium when you need replacements), and whilst it is possible to re-cell they never really work as well. If your batteries really are still good, then getting a tool that uses the same ones is sensible, but not all packs that look the same are actually interchangeable ????
  7. I've removed the name of the hospital for legal reasons, shouldn't affect the responses.
  8. If you can get it shipped with HS code 8713 https://www.cybex.in/hs-codes/carriages-for-disabled-persons-motorised-heading-8713.aspx It should be zero duty plus 7% VAT on the CIF cost from either Germany or Singapore. BUT That might get classed as "medical equipment" and require an import licence which could end in a world of hurt! Really best to talk to the sellers and ask if they can ship DDP (Delivery Duty Paid) which should mean no nasty surprises at this end.
  9. And, as if by magic ...
  10. Have you actually signed up for TOU (Time Of Use) metering, if so: - https://www.pea.co.th/Portals/1/Knowledge PEA/Electricity Tariffs JAN66 Unofficial Translation.pdf?ver=2023-01-27-133655-423 You will be 1.2.2, weekend is the same rate as off-peak.
  11. In other news: - Python complains about unjust detainment and removal. In a statement Monty said "I was just heading to the mall for some shopping when I was jumped by a bunch of guys, bundled into a box, and dumped in the forest miles from anywhere. I may sue".
  12. So, will they be ensuring that climate-change happens in Thailand?
  13. In my suitcase in the laundry bag with my dirty underwear and socks
  14. Spectacles should attract 5% duty on the CIF (Cost Insurance Freight) value plus 7% VAT on the total. The couriers often also charge a handling fee. If you can get stuff shipped DDP (Delivery Duty Paid) then there "should" be no further charge, but I don't know if DHL offer that service from the US. In reality, the good old postal system offers a pretty decent service for small fairly low-value items which often get through with no additional fees. EDIT It seems that DHL do in fact do DDP. https://www.dhl.com/th-en/home/our-divisions/global-forwarding/customer-service/incoterms-2020.html
  15. Yeah ^^^. I've found that stuff on Lazada, even if it's shipped from "overseas" (China) tends to arrive faster than the same thing from Aliexpress.
  16. Yeah, I believe this is why the women-only events were organised in the first place, to get more girls into the "sport". But how a trans-woman would be at an advantage I'm not really sure.
  17. No, as far as your installation is concerned the limiting factor is still your incoming breaker and the size of the cables feeding the house.
  18. "X" is an unknown and a "spurt" is a drip under pressure! My business card says "Specialist".
  19. He already has the non-O entry. So just the bank account and retirement extension (needing the bank account implies he doesn't have seasoned funds).
  20. What kind of entry are you on right now? Visa exempt, non-immigrant?? Topic title edited to be more useful ????
  21. @GammaGlobulin how are you re-heating your egg dish (I'm staying out of any discussion of spelling of the "O" word)? Don't they go rubbery? Special technique? Have you tried the pasteurised eggs in a bottle? Just measure the relevant volume for 5 eggs and cook. No cracking etc. The British Army and Royal Navy use them by the gallon to make scrambled egg, it was luxury to use an RAF canteen coz you got actual handmade scrambled eggs ????
  22. I knew I'd seen one somewhere... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RevoPower
