  1. They have over 2 years to get their act together. Whether they (or global economic conditions etc) can achieve that remains to be seen. BUT, there is plenty of tome - oh, and no viable opposition at the moment.
  2. Strange, I don't feel deluded. Satisfied is what I feel - oh, and content; I don't sense the same feelings coming from you. I certainly paid a lot more for same relationships in the UK.
  3. Try getting a bank to transfer at a weekend. WISE wins hands down. As a retired employee of a bank I don't pay transfer charges - it is still more cost-effective for me to use WISE than transfer Sterling and accept the Thai bank fees and lower exchange rate. I have never had the need to transfer more than 2m Baht.
  4. 1. I don't hire prostitutes. There is no prostitution in Thailand. I am happy to buy a lady I meet a few drinks and give her 1,000 Baht in the morning towards her rent. It seems a lot better value than buying presents and houses for English wives. 2. I don't make a point of telling her. I doubt that she would kill the golden goose for a few extra marital liaisons. 3. I have absolutely no idea.
  5. Ah! That would make you an expert then? You know nothing about me, or any other poster on here, yet you sit in pious judgement. For me, Thailand has a lot to offer retirees and, if the they have the right attitude, they can ensure that their retirement years are not wasted. Cheap accommodation, utility costs, local food etc make it a much more affordable destination. The Thai female attitude to sex makes that an attractive and affordable option as well - most certainly compared to the West I can go to a number of bars, with a couple of friends, where we can have an enjoyable evening and finish up taking a 30 something Thai lady back for the night. That is just part of what Thailand offers; the following week I could take the missus to Chiang Mai for a few days, or Bangkok to visit Chinatown, Riverside or maybe go south to the islands. All of these trips cost relatively little compared to the West For me, not wasting my time is more enjoyable, cost effective and sexually gratifying in Thailand.
  6. Do you think that alcohol could be a factor?
  7. If you need to ask that question you would not understand the answer.
  8. You compare prostitutes in the UK with ‘working girls’ (there is no prostitution) in Thailand ? ???????? You cannot be serious. I am sure you weren’t…….but best add a smiley emoticon next time… In the unlikely event that you were being serious then credibility has just nose-dived….
  9. This is entirely the point. I am very happy to be in a position, and location, where I can acquire the services of a chosen individual when the desire takes me. Over the years one tries to learn to choose the girls that will give some warmth and not make the occasion just a transaction - nothing wrong with the latter if short time satisfaction is your goal. As I get older I tend to limit myself to a small number of regular acquaintances some of whom I take for a meal and drink. Absolutely nothing about bragging just grateful that I have the opportunity to extend my sex life well into my 60’s - something that I certainly would not be doing if was still in the UK.
  10. Which shows how little you know. Good information and experience (which probably saved her inheritance) was provided.
  11. You have too many worries.......... Don't send any money, wait for the Baht to collapse (it has been predicted for the last 14 years) then transfer @ GBP/THB 70 using WISE to move 2m Baht at a time.
  12. Does it feel like a cold.
  13. My quote box always quotes GBP 1,000. That is true of browser and the app. I never send GBP 1,000
  14. .....and you feel the need to ask that question on an internet forum ? What do YOU think you should do? Do you have any underlying health issues?
  15. Yes there is. If you click on 'send money' the statement appears in red under the usual GBP1,000 quote box. It wasn't there first thing this morning.
  16. I don't recall seeing the message when I transferred GBP620 this morning. Now the following message comes up on the quote page. "Sorry, this weekend we can only accept transfers from customers sending a maximum of 28 000 THB. To send more, please return on Monday 3 October."

  18. Plenty to find on Google; here is just one:- https://amdsolicitors.com/does-marriage-affect-your-will/ and here .....
  19. It is not too late to use WISE.
  20. If it has taken over 100 years to decline this far, I am not going to lose any sleep in my remaining years.
  21. Pattaya is never thriving in September. The soi Buakhao area has been by low season standards. I don't recall many businesses relocating to soi Buakhao - a few places have changed hands and during Covid some have been renovated and renamed. Treetown is perhaps the largest single new development in the area and this gained popularity from the word go - even during Covid restrictions. I can't speak foe other areas as I don't cross Second Road for bars/entertainment. I haven't been to Walking Street for over 10 years........although I did see that Bamboo bar had reopened - always a freelancer paradise, perhaps the Triangle bar will see a shift of clientele.
