  1. He's got to be kidding. Smoking weed may lead to traffic accidrnts? There is no proof of that. What there is proof of is that drinking causes traffic accidents. How come he's not trying to close down "drinking rooms"?
  2. Thankfully, a moment of sanity by the govt. refusing to bow to the alcoholic lobby.
  3. Every week we get this push for 4 am closing. The alcohol lobby cares not one wit about the people. Just keep pushing for more and more profits and who cares about the people who live in the neighborhood.
  4. Didn't mean to offend the good people of Siem Reap. Haven't been there for 20 years so its good to know they have a handle on things. I just assumed (wrongly) that things usually go downhill. Sorry. Comment was more directed at Pnom Penh.
  5. I wholeheartedly agree with your proposal. Unfortunately, we long time Thailand expats know all too well about the enforcement problem. I'm sorry, but it seems like the only answer to this 4 am deal is to kill it.
  6. Can we just stop this nonsense once and for all? If you can't get in your boozing before 2 am, move to Cambodia or some other s#$thole that allows alcs to run the country.
  7. At least it wasn't those dirty falangs causing this ruckus this time.
  8. Alcoholic losers trying to make public policy. What a disaster.
  9. Putin at Impact Arena. Tickets on sale now. Getting the old band back together.
  10. Way more American males avoided the draft during the Vietnam War than Russians avoiding the Ukraine War. Some went to Canada, some went to Sweden and the more fortunate, like myself, stayed in University for 4 or more years. America learned an important lesson from the Vitnam War...never use a draft to fight an unpopular war. Just impoverish the lower class and have them enlist when there are are no other job options.
  11. You've got your work cut out for you trying to get a baht bus up Theprasit. Rare, indeed.
  12. I'd like to see the Vegas odds. Much more accurate than some local clown spouting off.
  13. If there's anyone who knows the face of corruption, its Chuvit. I'd rather have him running things than this current bunch of poseurs.
  14. Hey, if he's got good stuff, he will make it. If not, he will have to hit up mom and dad to get him home. In any case, he doesn't seem to be hurting anybody. BIB might think otherwise, tho.
  15. 4 am closing. Ok for Walking Street but a real pain in the a** for residents anywhere else. Just so a few alcs can stay out even later annoying nearby residents. If there was an enforceable "entertainment district", it might work but with the World Class Pattaya police force, this proposal will just bring more misery to locals trying to get a decent night's sleep.
  16. At last, someone who gets it!! Excellent comprehension, Redinvestor, and thanks for the tips. After 10 days of runaround from Lazada, I have moved past this affair. Bought a new phone at Banana and resigned myself to the loss. If I want to peel off the scab and get back into this mess, I will follow your suggestions but honestly, I can do without the aggravation. I will go back to the Police and see if they will do a further investigation with Best, Inc. but beyond that, I'm not eager.
  17. I didn't move the transaction outside Lazada, the sender did. Obviously a scam in cahoots with the seller, who gave him my order info.
  18. You're wrong. This was a Lazada seller.
  19. The seller I bought from had the Official Samsung Store logo. I thought he was legit, but I guess not. Lazada does a terrible job of vetting their sellers if they even bother at all.
  20. My order wasn't cancelled until a week after the incident. Their investigation convinced them that the seller violated Lazada's policy. But, that doesn't mean I'm getting a refund. They still refuse to take responsibility.
  21. How else does a 3rd party get a hold of my order information? Probably the seller working in cahoots with a scam buddy.
  22. Why is this relevant? The seller has already been cited for violating Lazada policy.
  23. I took a chance on a new seller because he had the item I wanted at a good price. Last year's models are hard to find. At 9,600 baht for an M52, it was a good deal for a hard-to-find phone but not enough to set off a red flag. I still say the ultimate responsibility rests with the website for hosting scam sellers.
