  1. That might be because it is a Buddha day and all bars are closed till midnight tonight.
  2. Any big signs like these in Thai?
  3. You should get this moved to Forum Support Desk. You are not alone in having these issues. NB: I use my phone to access AN.
  4. Did he bump into the Red Bull fugitive as well at the GP?
  5. Small. Some Thai places on 3rd Road sell big bottles for 80 Baht. Less than 60 Baht from 7/11 for Leo and Chang biggies.
  6. Absolute garbage. 😫
  7. What's with Father Christmas presenting the trophy?
  8. It took me about 3 years to get used to the heat. Just walk a lot slower.
  9. I'll not be impressed till it shows a picture of me eating my tea.
  10. Just in time for this years League 1 playoff final v Oxford at Wembley on Saturday (18th). Kick off is 10.15 pm Thai time. Over 70,000 expected for what is a 3rd Division match in old money. Main men could be Collins for Bolton and Brannagan for the U's. Enjoy. Up The Whites!!!.
  11. Well played Rick.
  12. Maybe run out to this.
  13. Warbies for me; if only someone here sold them. Villa sell their crumpets, bread and muffins so who knows ...?
  14. Not running drugs, illegal betting, trafficking, real estate fraud or loan sharking but hiding under his bed and bubbled up to the police for it. Seems odd to me.
  15. Good to see Israel in this year. At least they will be bottom instead of the UK. The only time in recent years UK have had a decent score was 2 years ago when it was deemed Ukraine would win despite having a group of drunken gypsies singing a song that normally would have had "neel pwant" votes aplenty.
  16. And all the coloured girls go ... hey sexy man.
  17. Who do you think you aren't? David Bailey?
  18. Cheap Georgie.
  19. I think that threads about fish and chips and Heinz baked beans are the most regular and repetitive; though not necessarily on the same plate at the same time.
  20. Day trip or short stay bus, airport with luggage taxi.
  21. I read an article recently advising that there was no take up from developers for land plots in Da Nang that were put up for sale. If retirees were allowed to live there, that might be a different matter. I stayed a few days in Da Nang last November and there are some very good bars and restaurants on the beach. My favourite was a place called East West which sold their own craft beers and good Western food. It was Austrian owned. We stayed in a great hotel and all the friendly staff spoke English far better than their Thai counterparts. We also stayed a few days in HCMC and there was a pretty vibrant P4P scene there (we were in the Japanese quarter). Their Walking Street was cheap but not a patch on the one in Pattaya. I would say the place has potential for retirement living but I defer to those who know it better than I do.
