  1. On a different problem, but at least as annoying. We live in a gated community and our house is on the front road. In the Soi,one house down from us an old woman lives who breeds cats. That house backs onto the side of ours. Her front garden looks and smells like a refuse tip. Sometimes the stink is really bad. So frequently we cannot use the patio on that side of our house. And we get a lot of cat poo in our garden. My wife is on the Village Committee, she says several complain about the smell but there doesn’t seem to be much that can be done. Someone mentioned that a saucer of antifreeze can get rid of the smell but I don’t see how.
  2. If that is the price ‘somewhere’ it is about the same as an E300e here in Thailand.
  3. Yes … actually Nick posts once a week and covers all Mercedes models and equipment etc
  4. I quite sure if you ask Eddie at Thomson garage he will find you one.
  5. For anyone interested Nick O’Leary has just released his Mercedes EQS … basically … a first look and drive video. For those who don’t watch his videos… they are easy to find on youtube.
  6. I'm more than happy if he misses bumping into the car when he carries the bottle past, worth 20Baht just for that. I have to say since the Cov19 situtation I have been more generous with tipping delivery guys etc. Also now keep a few 50Baht notes in the car and on hand one out to the poor guys you see collecting cardboard and plastic bottles to scrape a living together. I just think how fortunate we are.
  7. We pay 375Baht for delivery of a full bottle and to take away the empty one. TBH is see no poin is lugging one to the local gas station. BUT next timeIi will check the test date on the bottle ... good point. Usually give the guy a 20Baht tip.
  8. I had both, up and down, done middle of last year at Chulabhorn. Can’t remember exactly the cost but between seven and eight thousand Baht. If you want it done quickly then you need to use the Extra Clinic which is a little bit more. Mine was an appointment from five years ago. This could be the forth since I have lived here. They have never found anything. Also have not been given another appointment … do they know something ????
  9. Haven’t read all above. But when it rained heavily my wife went inside the roof space and took photos of any damp patches. Took photos so that can count the tiles so know where to look on the roof top.
  10. Our house was built in 2005 and roof tiles are the 'normal' concrete ones. Have very recently had the roof tiles painted with "TOA Roof Paint' when the rest of the house was painted. We changed two tiles that were cracked. MrJ when up on the roof to check all the tiles. TOA Roof Paint is not for stopping leaks, just for looks. TOA do a roof seal but I know little about it. Preperation for the Roof paint is Power Wash, wire brush where power wash fails. Two coats of primer and two coats, at least of Roof Paint. The primer and Roof paint are normally sprayed. If you want you can also have a clear sealer applied which makes them look just a little better. As mentioned a couple of posts earlier you need to see how many tiles need replacing. If concrete tiles and you have a lot cracked think you need to ask yourself why that has happened. I think the roof looks quite good
  11. Bangkok Motor Show early April ... maybe worth a look
  12. We have two gas bottles. As soon as one is empty, order another, that way never run out of gas.
  13. I see it advertised on Shopee at 179 thb. It does sound cheap for treating leather, but if you have been happy in the past then fine. I see that it is an ‘all in one’ product, probably something I wouldn’t use, but I’m a bit old fashioned.
  14. I have used Taxcalc for almost thirty years ..at that time it was free ... this year it was about £26. As my address with my UK Bank is registered here, I don't pay VAT provided the program is used in Thailand. Years ago you couldn’t use the HMRC Program, but now you can ... no idea how easy it is to use. Taxcalc is very simple and their product support is good. This year, so I understand, you have until he end of February to file on line your 2020-2021 return without a penalty. I always file in the last few days of January
  15. 13.79925 100.71298 085 142 3159 ... this guy is a real expert on Mazda and Ford and not expensive ... only problem is that he doesn't speak much english. Used him a few times when we had the Mazda Lantis. Its in Minburi Maybe 30kms away from where you are but maybe useful for others
  16. Previously my extension date was a week or two after Songram, can't remember exactly ...the IO often ask me to extend after Songram because of how busy they were around that time, which would result in my having to sort any problem quickly. Now I can extend about a month before Songram when it is reasonably quite
  17. Would you care to name the film, we are looking for a film for some of the windows in our house…, tks
  18. Actually Everest was bought Nov 2015 … changed to these tyres Dec 2018 at 29,635kms. I notice now that that the ride is not as soft as it used to be … kms now 45,302 … grieves me to change them but will before the rains come. If someone wants them in a few months, let me know. Need to use it all the time now I think …
  19. I did that last year… my PP only had eleven months left at extension date. Now my extension date is far enough away from Songram to make my life easier…
  20. Our Everest has one directional tyres fitted. Yoko Parada.
  21. I know how to operate a modern Power Station … guess not much call for that on this forum though…
  22. Seems that I disagree with the majority of posters on this topic. There are several videos comparing the performance of new v older tyres on the internet. Worth a look. New tyres will definitely stop in a shorter distance… which could result in no damage to your car or not changing someone’s life forever. And from experience new tyres, like for like.. definitely give a better ride experience. Of course if financial are the priority then as most have said tyres can last for years.
  23. Take an illegal right turn and you might find out how fast MrBIB can run …
  24. Around the time Covid first came to note here in Thailand, our who we call 'the Family Doctor' and my wife has attended for many many years and me for at least eighteen to nineteen years ... told us quite firmly, wash your hands frequently and take Vit D. Since that date each of us have taken one Calciferol Capsules Vitamin D 20,000units every Monday morning without fail. Get them from our local hospital for just a few baht each. We do play a lot of golf so do see the sun quite often .... As far as we know we haven't experience Covid first hand. Has taking Vit D helped ... I don't know but .....
