  1. As I understand it, you plug this unit into the headphone jack socket on your car radio/audio system and then connect your phone via Bluetooth to the device. And then, in theory you can play songs straight from you phone through the speakers in your car,
  2. Out of interest, has any one purchased one of these Bluetooth music receivers for their older car? And if so did it work!
  3. Later this year my wife and I plan to take our 8 Year old grandson from Chiang Mai to Bangkok and then onto a currently undecided beach resort for a short holiday. I have never booked air tickets or flown with for a child before and I'm completely ignorant as to what the procedure is. So I have a couple of questions. Apologies if they seem really dumb.... Firstly, does my 8 year grandson need Official ID to board a plane? Obviously he will be traveling with us. He currently doesn't have a Thai ID card yet. I gather that at 7 years old he is eligible for one but the first time you apply you need to have a parent or legal guardian present to sign the paperwork. The problem being that his father is deceased and his mother (my wife's daughter) can't be bothered to travel up to travel up from her nice little life in Bangkok to do the necessaries. Secondly when you book an air ticket for a child you presumably need a English translation of their actual name? Now obviously if he had an ID card then you could just copy what was on there. So will any rough translation of his name suffice? Thanks in advance.
  4. Well no because the many amulets located in their vehicles and about their persons will protect them a lot of the time!
  5. When they have run out of water.
  6. I'm sure that the government are satisfied with these figures and are now sweeping all the evidence underneath the rug a quickly as possible.
  7. Thais have to be the world's slowest drivers!!! From my experience a huge percentage of Thais have only know how to drive/ride one way. Maximum velocity at all times no matter what the road conditions.
  8. One thing to bear in mind is that they are much noiser than regular fans, particularly when you turn the fan up to full speed. It's like having a jet engine in the room! We have one that I bought some years ago to try in our bedroom. Like others have said it just created way too much humidity within the room even with the window open. So I use ours outside now because there is a notable difference with the coolness of the air it kicks out compared to a normal fan.
  9. I downloaded the payment form from the GOV.UK website.
  10. Anything you sit astride on is being ridden. Examples being a motorcycle, bicycle, tricycle, horse, camel, or an ostrich. Nearly everything with four wheels you drive. Obviously a quad bike being one exception.
  11. They need to start breathalyzing drivers first thing in the morning as well.
  12. Lucky? Is this some meaning of the word that I was previously unaware of?
  13. They have probably already sold the necklace. And if they lost face over "just a joke" that makes their vile behavior even more pathetic. Let's hope the police deal with this properly instead of handing out a "joke" of a punishment.
  14. Get yourself some flying white rabbit.
  15. I've been making this exact recipe for a while now. The one thing I learnt from the beginning was you need be patient and cook them on a low heat otherwise they will burn on the bottom before the top sets. I like to serve mine with savory toppings particular cheesy scrambled egg, or as my mother always called it when I was a wee nipper, fluffy cheese.
  16. Firstly, I'm fully aware that the British passport office in the UK is going on strike for five weeks starting next month. I already had an appointment booked at the VFS office in CM before that news story broke. So, as they haven't contacted me to cancel my appointment, I'm going turn up and attempt to submit my application anyway. My question is this. Is there a colour photo copying service located at the VFS office in Chiang Mai? According to the requirements listed I need colour photo copies of every page in my old passport. I only have a black and white laser printer/scanner at home and it would be handy to know if I have find somewhere else to get these copies done before I arrive at the VFS office tomorrow afternoon. Thanks in advance,
  17. Don't these people know that there are CCTV and surveillance cameras everywhere now? Particularly exchange booths. Pretty much everything you do when you are out and about is caught on film these days.
  18. An overdose of bodybuilding supplements by the looks of things.
  19. Whoever pays the most bribes?
  20. So where do these drunken mice hang out? I would imagine they like a full bodied Shiraz to go with their cheese.
  21. Yes, I agree. The Thai perception of beauty is certainly very different to mine. Soft, rounded, pretty features are clearly not considered attractive here.
