  1. Agree, they took the drug in Thailand and not Malaysia. They should not have been fined.
  2. Sorry, what I meant was more liberal and advanced in thinking. Not everything is measured in monetary terms. Of course, not many countries can beat Singapore in terms of GDP per capita.
  3. Singapore is a non-muslim country and yet they executes drug traffickers so it's not restricted to muslim countries.
  4. Not only Malaysia but also Singapore. In Singapore, it's the death sentence if you bring more than a certain amount into the country. In Malaysia, you cannot even dress like a woman if you are born a man. Homosexuality is a crime there. I think Thailand is now more liberal than these two countries.
  5. You can do it earliest on 5 Sept which is 45 days before your expiry date.
  6. Thai do travel by trains but their trains are like back in the 1960s. We are now in the 2020s. High speed trains are the way to go. Just go to China to experience the difference.
  7. Thailand is just too slow in building things due to too much bureaucracy and paperwork as usual. The train from CM to Bangkok is so backwards. At this rate, it will be 2050 before high speed train arrives in Thailand. Laos is now way more advanced in the high speed train area. Someday, I will hop a high speed train in Laos.
  8. I was shocked to see that Krungthai (not Krungsri) charge for online transfer while other banks do not. Apparently , each bank has its own charges.
  9. The electrical authority didn't have this PEA app a few years ago when I had the same problem as OP; I needed to go out of Thailand but I can't pay in advance which is strange. Now that we can see the bills in digital format, it is much more convenient to pay online. I will install the app later.
  10. No, what i mean is that does it show the current bill in a digital format?
  11. Auto-deduction method is too late for OP, it takes a few weeks to process the application. I've done that before. The only solution is to use the PEA app as suggested by Kannika
  12. Can we see all the monthly bill amount on this app? I didn't know about this. Anyway, I've been doing auto-deduction from my bank account for years to save me the trouble.
  13. Central Festival is actually more convenient for most of us than Promenada as it is nearer to city center so this is really good.
  14. Yes, it's possible if you have the right documents from your employer.
  15. True, where is the other guy/girl who infected him? I think he/she might still be in Thailand and he/she is a tourist.
  16. Wow! That's a super low budget. What type of place is this that rent 3500 baht? I know that most decent places (an apartment) are now at least 7000 baht and above.
  17. I think she will do the same thing again in a busy street because she was unhurt in the accident. Only when a serious accident occur will these people wake up to reality.
  18. Do tell us your experience after the visit.
  19. I see a lot of Thai people talking on the phone while riding their motorbike. Furthermore, they don't even wear helmets. This is asking for disaster to happen. Isn't there basic education of road safety in Thailand? How did they even get a driving licence in the first place?
  20. Sometimes the cost is hidden with a lower exchange rate than the market rate.
  21. What does it mean by 'foreigners with official residency'? This definition is quite vague. Does a one year visa means official residency if extended for xx years?
