  1. I bought Atora on Lazada, I think it was from Food Variety.
  2. You could always make your own ..... Makro sell dried white beans, 49bht for 500gm. https://www.recipetineats.com/homemade-baked-beans-recipe-heinz/
  3. Vet was incompetent, Ivermectin injections work 100%, but are too cheap (100bht) for most vets to use. I'd suggest using a different vet, one that puts animal health before profits. Ivermectin stays in the blood and poisons all insects that suck blood (seen or unseen). 2-3 injections protects the animal from recurrence for up to a year.
  4. I always assume Thailand couldn't find it's own bum using both hands and a mirror. But I'm probably wrong. One of my pals was a heroin/gold smuggler in the 1990s. Got caught and spent a year in the Bangkok Hilton. Deported back to the UK where he got a new passport, then flew right back here.
  5. My experiences match those of @KhunLA. Everything I bought from 'sponsored' ads of Facebook in Thailand was a scam. So I now just ignore them.
  6. Even 2nd rate actors know how to run the world better than their elected government. Not sure anyone would class him as a 'Hollywood A-lister' though.
  7. Unless you bribe the government officials not to check. And with a 'new' car it will be 5+ years before anyone looks again.
  8. They buy metal detectors that don't detect, submarines without engines, aircraft carriers without aircraft. And yet, you expect them to have fingerprint computers better than the FBI and the London Met.
  9. So they should be cheaper than the UK price if they come from China.
  10. Total rubbish. The FBI and the London Met take at least 2hrs for a fingerprint search using the latest technology if the search is their No.1 priority (normal non-urgent search results are 2-3 days). Yet you believe the Thai Immigration services using a pirate version of windows 3.1 on an old PC can do it in seconds.
  11. 38 fits a revolver, 9mm fits a semi-auto. Different shell casings.
  12. It's very easy to make friends with western foreigners here. Join a hiking or cycling club. Sit in an expat bar, play pool. I've made some really great friends here in Chiang Mai.
  13. I always buy the cheapest paracetamol I can find, it's medicine same as cannabis. 30bht/100 is good enough. I don't need real ale either, Leo with some ice is good enough. Nor expensive wines, Full Moon dark wine cooler (25bht) does the same job
  14. 5.50 GBP (225bht) retail for a Heinz baked bean six pack in ASDA. Vs 480bht (for the same six pack in Thailand). So not quite sure what you mean in your post. Normally shipping across the world doesn't mean a 100% markup.
  15. I'm the oldest, most educated and richest person I ever meet in Thailand. So, by their own rules, they should always wai me.
  16. Don't wai anyone, you aren't a serf or a lord.
  17. The biometrics only compare the name in your current passport with your fingerprints for that passport. There is no other search, it's just to stop different people using the one passport. It can't find any details used in a previous passport in a different name. It doesn't search a national fingerprint database.
  18. Thai Government minimum insurance covers everyone for 40,000bht (maybe a bit more) of medical care in the event of an accident. Which is usually enough to cover most injuries if the victim is treated in a Thai government hospital.
  19. But unlike Biden, Kamala (probably) knows where that border is and where she is.
  20. I don't want any buzz at all, I just want my joint pain to go away, which 4bht/gm Lao Brick does as well as 500bht/gm flowers.
  21. A 10" tablet gives the same viewing size as a 55" TV.
