If it's Ninoy Aquino Airport terminal 3, walk out the front door, across the car parks, across the main road, down the soi on the left of the Sheriton, turn right and there you have the Newport Mall which has plenty of shops, restaurants and coffee shops along with a casino. English movie complex as well. About 1/2 Km walk. Also a few fast food joints on the way. I always go there if waiting for a flight.

The biggest risk to men in the west is a woman making a claim against you. There's almost no defense, you're guilty and will at the very least lose your employment forever. My family married into the Maori, the levels of petty crime are unbelievable. Many are all covered in face tattoos and take serious drugs. The teen female kids are always running off and involved in prostitution. Sounds like an awful place.

Agree, 80 years back, no internet, no free TV/music/movies/books, no easy worldwide instant communications, and just the radio and records for entertainment. Now is the best time ever for us old folks with pensions and living in Thailand.

5Kw install without batteries would cost around 60kbht DIY. At their prices you could have 15kWhr of batteries, be off grid 24/7 and not worry about selling anything back.
