I agree with the OP, bread and milk have been very iffy the past couple of weeks. My local 7-11, Tesco, BigC have all been out of stock for days, then a delivery that quickly sells out. Cheese and Onion crisps are also in short supply.

Lots of pretty photos posted, but I'd think most of the places would only be good for a day or two before boredom set in. I'm happy enough where I am on the outskirts of Chiang Mai. Big enough house, high speed fibre, big TV, nice enough woman, 2 kids and 3 rabbits. Sure, I'd like to fly away for a weeks holiday, but longer than that and I'd just want to be home. I choose to be here for the next 12 months ............ even if I had unlimited money.

I would like to point out hiking alone in the jungle isn't ever safe for anyone. At the very minimum you should tell someone where you are going and when you intend to be back. It's very easy to slip and fall, and hurt an ankle, or just get lost. Probably as many reports of tourists falling off waterfalls, or getting lost, as being attacked.

You must be living in a different Thailand to me. It's just as easy to get laid today, as it ever was. I always wondered what different reason any single guy would have for coming to Thailand? Can't think of one myself .......... cheap female company ....... it's what Thailand is for! (Your payment plans may vary) It's as good here today, as it was when I arrived in 2009. My only complaint, is me getting older, but that would have happened anywhere. Back to the OP, I can see how living alone in one room in a city with everything closed might not be a lot of fun. But nobody is forcing him to live like that, he could always get a bigger place in the burbs with a bit of a garden he can sit out in. And invite a younger lady to share his home, or get some pets. -
I suspect the translation is in error. It would be nice to see the original Thai question and answers. Would think answer 4 likely "educating children".

The whole point of sex is the exchanging of bodily fluids. Not to mention I have no wish to endanger my immortal soul. I never really worried about any disease, and seemed to have survived all have encountered.

I'm not sure women really like men at all. But that one liked me enough to have a son with me, then leave her daughter with me. And still turns up to have sex with me, when my gf isn't around. I gave up worrying about what women thought of me a long time back, as long as they're prepared to have sex with me, that's good enough. If they didn't want our money they'd probably choose to live alone or in a house filled with cats. I think they might be right, I'm coming round to their way of thinking but filling my house with rabbits. And that's what's great about Thailand, and why I'm not thinking of leaving. The Thai women really want our money, unlike the UK women whom the UK government pays to live alone.

My house was the same when they built it. L and N reversed coming out of the meter. After I complained and the guy fixed it, I watched him sneaking down the road testing everyone else's meters. -
Didn't like the room, didn't like the resort, didn't want to go to the beach, didn't want to go on a boat trip, was too tired for sex, always wanted the sea food platter (at 10x the price of any other item on the menu) then left it ........... all the usual nonsense when the lady thinks they own you.

You didn't look hard enough. Ping Payom hotel was infamous ............. SaYuri was a bit too dark skinned Issan ............ The Star Six gogo bar 11pm 'artistic show' was very popular. Hotshots at the PornPing Tower for freelancers (always lots of nurses). There were a couple more hidden away. Bizland, Adventure hotel, The Ark, Movement, China Chic themed rooms. I had the time of my life!

Even if you went back just 20 years, everything is better now. Back then there were no smartphones with GPS, no data plans, no fibre optic internet, no large Tvs, I couldn't download any movie, game, book, music, Tv series I wanted in a couple of minutes. How quickly people forget how fast technology moves forward.

Mine is the same, also on 3BB.
