Because it's an average, and deviation from the mean of 3c is entirely normal. -
Trolley folly: Tipsy tourists’ wild hotel ride in Koh Phi Phi (video)
BritManToo replied to webfact's topic in Krabi News
Video comments about poisoning in Laos. Video about drunk teens in Thailand. But nice of the police to wheel them home, wonder if the policeman would have been so helpful if it was elderly foreign guys, and not nearly naked teen white girls. Thought drinking under the age of 20 was illegal, and the bar would lose it's license. Good job the video wasn't taken in Manchester, else the guy with the camera would be risking a SWAT team bashing in his front door.- 66 replies

The Oracle of measuring blood pressure.
BritManToo replied to swissie's topic in Health and Medicine
Nearly 70, my BP is normally 95/65 or lower. The nurse tells me to do 2 laps of the waiting room then come back to try for a more sensible reading. -
Yeah, used them all the time, but they just direct you to the booking agent with the best price. You don't book with Skyscanner.

UK Pensioners in Thailand Face New Scrutiny Over Pension Fraud
BritManToo replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
While searching through some links (that were subsequently removed) I did find something worthy of note ...... Credit to @Will B Good for finding this, https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/benefit-overpayment-recovery-staff-guide/benefit-overpayment-recovery-guide#appendix-1 "Fraud by the claimant 1.6. The claimant deliberately misrepresents their circumstances or fails to disclose material facts in order to obtain benefit to which they are not entitled. DWP only classifies an overpayment as fraud where there is either admission by the claimant after “caution”, upon conviction in court or acceptance of an Administrative Penalty" According to appendix 1 DWP says no fraud on ANY overpayment of benefit unless you admit it (after caution), or a court finds you guilty. Interesting find as it directly contradicts statements posted by @transam And backs up my opinion to always deny and admit nothing. -

Nobody took it, he offered to pay it ....... if 'chummy' even exists. Wondering about the date of your printed pages, this millennium? You seem to have problems finding information relevant to this year, it's either outdated or a future fantasy! -

Wrong as usual, 60k me, 60k wife, 190k over 60, 150k pension, 150k at 0% and a child in school. I make that 610k (without the kid) and no need to file on earned income alone. -

Heart rate on my smart watch too, fairly accurate below 100bpm, nonsense above that. I use it to record all my cycling trips on Strava, impressed by the GPS in it, also nice to be able to read emails, notifications and take phone calls without needing to get my phone out. (Redmi 5 active 750bht)

I know of no new powers granted in 2024, and we aren't in 2025 for another month. They may get new powers at some time in the future, but unlike you, I don't claim to know the future. -

(Off topic) But can't really answer, The only times I filled in a tax return was to claim money back (3x), I've always been taxed at source with no other income. So no tax returns ever required, unless I have an allowance and don't want to wait until next year to get it back. -

You are never 'bang to rights' ........ always deny, always go to court if they insist. That's my policy, and I win every time, mostly the other side caves, but the two that didn't resulted in 1 win against the law society (disagreement over solicitors fees settled in my favour), 1 win against the police (7,000 pounds compensation paid to me). The interesting thing about the UK police, they often start court proceedings then don't turn up to the court, so you win by default without needing any evidence.
