  1. The only reason I mentioned it is I'm fairly sure a home circuit I saw from Crossy had a MOV on the neutral as well. I'll have a look for the pic. 🙂
  2. You may never have a problem from lighning strikes, but then one day you do. I think best to install a MOV on the neutral as well. If that's what you mean.
  3. Shouldn't be socialising, should be working. 🙂 Suppose the traffic is just as bad as 15 years ago?
  4. Muhendis you had me a bit worried then cause mine is the same. What MJCM and I haven't done (one of them roundtuits) is install another MOV (metal oxide varister) on the neutral as well. Me thinks that a near lightning strike will raise the earth and neutral voltage for a poofdeenth of a second as well. I think I remember seeing a Crossy home cct. and his incoming neutral has a MOV as well

    Good night

Many ways to say it depending on the context and who you're talking to. I would say: bye, phom ja non.
  6. Anyone any idea about when the Sealion 7 would be delivered after ordering during the Motor Show discount? The Mukdahan dealer said last month, but that didn't happen. Is there any way to see where I am on the Far Que? I'm out of country for a few months so that leaves Wifey to handle all the new EV, so if it doesn't come for awhile I think she will cancel and go back and get another Honda CRV.
  7. Yes a great group here. There are many BYD Thai sites and sometimes OK information, but unless you want to practice your Thai skills, the translations to English are a bit hit and miss.
  8. We went to Bali and bought a container of Teak furniture and sent it back to Thailand, so with a house full of Teak wood furniture, no termites after 8 years. They are in the yard. Our house in Pattaya had wooden door jams and they came up through the cement floor and door jam and ate away when we weren't there. They like quiet.
  9. BS. If you feel it's doing you good....probably is.
  10. Hi. Join the Building in Isaan forum. Just had a post there from a Guy just finished a nice looking house, fence and pool. He used a private builder and recommends them.
  11. Some of the first things you should check are: do you have diabetes and do you have lumbar back troubles. They can also do scans to see if your muscles around your lumbar are dying or been replaced with fatty tissue. Sometimes your nerves die from the feet up.
  12. It's not part of their culture. It's not part of any culture. Men are starting to learn it's not their right to dominate females. It's just a relearning process. Give it another 20 years and we'll get there.
  13. Merry Christmas GK.
  14. Instead of having all the solar kit in and on the shed, would be easier the mount the PV panels on the main house tiled roof and place the 3 inverters on the wall of the built-in-varanda. Would they be too noisy?
  15. I suppose....if you really like dogs

    Pattaya Sauna

    Yes. Looks like it's closed.

    Pattaya Sauna

Is Pattaya Sauna still going? It was just up from the Dolphin roundabout on the way to Na glue on the right hand side.
  18. I've got an idea that no one will agree with: in a large real-time computer they have parity checking (or used to) so that every 1s and 0s word is checked to make sure it has the right number of 1s and 0s. In the PC computers this doesn't (didn't) happen, so you can lose some digits and funny things start to happen. Windows NT server for example. The only fix is to reload a clean version of your operating system. As yours is Win 7 I would say update your computer and Windows.
  19. I think he meant the earth as a shield against RF interference.
  20. (In the old days) it used to be standard practice to rotate the wheels [at every service I think]. This helped the tyres wear evenly including the spare. Last service and problem I had with the CRV, (water in the break pistons causing rust and front discs sometimes staying in contact with the pistons) I bought some new tyres as well, they said come back in 10000km to check and rotate the tyres.
  21. Yep, we'd really like you to avoid any of these bars.
  22. Soi 6 they'll take good care of him I hear OR Jonthiem beach road is the Aus and Nz restaurant/bar. Big neon sign hanging out to the street. HHH runs .. Great place to meet eveyone .
  23. As I'm just new on this forum I didn't want to rush in with the way I would do it. Sorry for late reply.
  24. One of the Thai guys on a Sealion 7 BYD forum posted this pic. It is a bolt sticking out near the accelorator pedal. They said it was common with all Sealion 7s. I can't believe that.
