  1. Out of interest what forms are required. I know you have to get a form from the embassy, is there a Thai TM? form as well?
  2. All that is required is to upload a copy of your passport ID page, nothing else.
  3. Are you in Thailand now? If so please confirm that you entered on a Tourist visa and what is the date on the stamp when you entered. Are you aware that you can get a single re entry permit to save the date of your entry stamp into Thailand whatever date that is. It may then be possible to enter visa exempt again and if necessary extend by 30 days to give you what you need.
  4. Dec and Jan are the busiest months, go away then
  5. In this case I disagree with you. A questionable arrest and overstaying the visa in Malaysia with result in her being denied a UK visit visa. The UK will have no way of checking any Malaysian database even if it is kept up to date. She has nothing to lose by getting a new passport and not declaring the convictions, no one will know. By the way I am not naive about UK visa applications. I have successfully carried out 3 x 1 year applications, a 5 year and a 10 year visa for my Thai wife.
  6. Tell her to get a new passport, that will be totally clean of any offences in Malaysia. When she applies simply do not declare any convictions its pointless. If she proceeds with the application with the same passport and you declare the offences, she has zero chance of success.
  7. Why dont you compromise and share a room, set the air con at 27.5
  8. I bought one 6 weeks ago and hardly use it. The air is too humid and wet at the moment it just makes things worse and gives you a bad chest.
  9. Well its in the Chaing Mai forum so its safe to assume its in Chaing Mai, dont you think?
  10. I am sure there must be rent a Thai pest control even where you are. I am in the Pattaya area and I use a professional non Thai company that does it on a yearly contract.
  11. No the only cure is prevention not reacting to stopping them once they are there, this will only be temporary.
  12. The first sensible answer in this topic. The OP should get his property professionally treated for termits and pests and lo and behold no ants. Ever since I had a bad termite infestation 8 years ago I have done this yearly with quarterly top ups and no termites or ants since. Like you I couldnt live surrounded by ants.
  13. Agree some of the lager is aweful. However when I go I still stock up with the original Kronenbourg that you can still get over there. Much better than the 1664 version.
  14. I think I probably know the answer to this but posting the question in case there is a simple solution. My wife has a 10 year UK Standard visa based on family visit. In the past if we wanted to go to France for a day trip I quickly obtained a schengan visa for my wife from embassy based on freedom of movement for family members of EU citizens, this was free of charge. Now since Brexit and the UK is no longer an EU member this avenue does not exist. My question is therefore is there any way around this other than applying for a full schengan visa, having to buy insurance and having to show accomodation. It seems way over the top.
  15. If its the same as the Pattaya branch its way overpriced. Much better options elsewhere
  16. Lol, never been there. Much prefer my holiday home in Thailand thank you
  17. I have just had my State Pension increased by £74 per month at 10.1% thank you. Also 50% of my BT pension went up by 10.1%. Happy days.
  18. If you are 64 years of age you get your state pension at 66 not 64, why do you think that. Yes its a bit of a hassle getting a gov.uk id but quite easy really. Once you have the Government gateway ID its easy to check missing years and pay via this link https://www.gov.uk/check-national-insurance-record
  19. Pattaya of course is not Thailand. However as we are in the Paataya forum its safe to assume we are speaking about Pattaya. Any comments about dates for Songkran in any other region are irrelevant.
  20. Why on earth have you left it so late to renew the extension, especially with the Songkran holidays. I did mine 8 weeks early via an agent, I could have done it up to 100 days early. It gives you plenty of time to sort out any problems. The 30 day early rule does not apply when doing it via an agent.
  21. Soi's 6, 7 and 8 were all playing water.
  22. A very naive post. Have you ever been in Pattaya during Songkran? It is from 11th - 19th April, forget the official dates, they dont apply here.
  23. It started on some soi's yesterday 11th
  24. A ladyboy is a man, if the guy likes the ladyboy then he is in fact gay.
