  1. Considering the spelling mistake in your post I suspect it was your mistake.
  2. Do you mean for gym membership? Direct debit does exist for water, electric bills etc.
  3. I would never ever marry a bar girl. I would however marry a gogo girl. In fact I did in 2014 after being with her since 2011. We are still very happily married in 2023. We split our time between the UK and Thailand, my family love her. We have loads in common despite the age difference. Me 67 and her 31.
  4. If thats your idea of a joke I pity you. The ones who laughed did so out of pity for you.
  5. You are so naive. This is normal in India. I was lucky enough to go to India many times on business. A wonderful country with welcoming people. Granted I was lucky to stay in top class hotels. The poverty is in your face and far far worse than Thailand.
  6. Yes based on the information you provided your plan is sound to get a Non O and then convert to an extension based on Retirement once you are 50. Alternatively you could enter visa exempt and convert to obtain the Non O and extension in Thailand.
  7. Absolute load of lies and pifle. Yes 20 years ago now no. I load of rubbish I say. Just because a girl looks small doesnt mean she is underage. The girls work becausr they choose too.
  8. I had just the same issue as you. Passport expiry April 25, extension of stay expiry May 24. I realised next renewal I would only get 11 months. That did not fit with my schedule of split time in UK/Thailand. I decided as I am here in the UK at this time to get a new passport even though I had 22 months left. All done online, passport back in 3 weeks.
  9. Dont compicate things Air Con for heavens sake
  10. Download the VYKE app and register. Buy $3 credit and make landline calls. Very cheap.
  11. Quite simply it doesnt exist. It was phased out years ago. A private pension yes, state pension no.
  12. Good old Eric
  13. Loads of places in Pattaya and Jomtien that sell draft beer.
  14. You dont need Eric for IPTV. Its so easy to do yourself. The best provider by far is Wizz TV. Just google them, they are well established. Just order the package you want and follow the instructions they send you. I have a yearly package for a single connection with VPN for 3,100 baht or £73. I bought separately an Android box. You just download Wizz TV to it, its only an app and away you go. All Sports channels across the world, 100's of movies and 100's of on demand content. 1,000's to choose from. I brought my Andriod box back to the UK with me as I am here for a few months and it works perfect over here as well. Works best when diectly connected via an ethernet cable but works fine on a strong wifi via a firestick. There is a lot of fear around installing IPTV yourself thats why people like Eric are making a business of doing it for you. It is very easy as long as you follow the instructions.
  15. You are just using that as an excuse. There is virtually no difference living under the coup government for foreigners. What is the real reason?
  16. No need to worry. Big Joke is in charge of the case now. He will get to the bottom of it.
  17. Not a daughter, but my wife was 11 years younger than my eldest son when I first brought her to the UK 10 years ago. No problems at all
  18. Dont need PR. If you are married to a Thai, you can use the manual Thai lanes. Simple as that.
  19. There is secure cheap parking at the 7/11 there. It is controlled by a barrier.
  20. As you are an Austrian citizen your wife is entitled to free movement in in the Schengan area as part of the EU family member scheme. This visa should be issued free of charged and should be processed quickly and without question. As part of this scheme you are allowed to apply direct to the embassy of your choice. Do not be fobbed of with excuses or being told you must apply via TLS or VFS. I am a UK citizen and when the UK was part of the EU we successfully used this process 3 times. Netherlands once and Sweeden twice. https://commission.europa.eu/strategy-and-policy/policies/justice-and-fundamental-rights/eu-citizenship/movement-and-residence_en#:~:text=COVID-19 pandemic-,The right to free movement,EU Charter of Fundamental Rights.
  21. Yes I understand the government owns the passport, I was suggesting a way around the need to post the old passport back, for them to cut off the corner and return to sender. Surely if they gave permission for the holder to cut off the corner and upload a photo, this would save an enormous amount of time.
  22. Yes I do I have used it to get a pin with SCB but I still get a message saying unable to process at this time. BB following the process just tells me to call them. Both attempts via the apps. Alas I think I will have to sort it out when I am back at the end of September.
  23. I have just received my new UK passport, I applied online in the UK. You have to send the old passport and will not start processing the application until they receive the old passport, they send it back with the corner cut off. A rather unnecessary step in my opinion. An easier way would be to ask the applicant to cutt off the corner and upload a photo of the old passport with the corner cut off.
